ORLANDO, Fl. -- An Orange County, Florida man has been charged with threatening to kill a San Luis Obispo, California man via Facebook private messenger. Jacob Colton, 22, of Casselberry, Fl. is being charged with making threats online to a 21-year-old man, whose name will not be released for his own protection, a student at California Polytechnic State University. Police say the spat was over membership for an online group which originated from the animation-based website Newgrounds.com. However, police say the two held an altercation over the Facebook messaging system, and Colton had broadly stated he would come to the 21-year-old man's house and kill him.
Colton is facing one count of making threats via the Internet, which can hold five months in jail or a $2,000 fine.
