Huh, it's been said on every single website I know that being fat is bad for you and that people with it are more likely to get heart disease and heart attacks and everything else. I have to say this sounds like you're brewing some conspiracy. So you're saying that Mr. Spurlock just has bad metabolism? Jared was better off before he went to Subway? You didn't actually watch the movie. One of the stipulations was that he ALWAYS had to say 'yes' to the suggestion employees make of "Would you like me to supersize that meal for you, sir?"
So... no, the movie did not lie about anything. He laid out his premise, laid out his plan, followed his plan, and documented the results. That's all there is to it. Sure, maybe some of his conclusions are misleading (because he is not a nutritionist or doctor of any kind), but it is what it is.
People get so uptight about their food theories. Eat reasonable amounts of food, tend toward what isn't processed, and exercise. BOOM: keeping healthy in a nutshell. You don't need to over-think planning or anything... just ask yourself every single day and at every meal "could I eat healthier?" and "Do I need to eat this much?" and "Have I exerted myself physically today?"
The fact is: McDonalds food is garbage. It's marketed to a low price selling-point. It costs money to produce quality foodstuffs. That being said, I had a salad from McDonalds the other day and it wasn't bad.
