The Furry fandom has been around since the 80's, so Generation X and Generation Z are participants of it as well; if it wasn't Sonic it would have been something else.

I guess everyone's obsessed with something. For example, I'm obsessed with 1984. It's not really something worth being obsessed with but it's just so awesome.

Also, I think the reason why the afformentioed 15-30 year olds are fanboys are because they're the generations that grew up with him. They just haven't moved on. Hell, I grew up with Dragon Ball Z, and even though I don't obsess over it anymore, I'm still a mega fan.

I went through a stage when I was 10 or 11 where I was obsessed with everything Sonic. It got a little out of hand, and I eventually stopped. There's nothing wrong with obsessing over something. Hell, this redesign has basically made me obsessed with Newgrounds. I can't stop going to it, I have to be on Newgrounds multiple times a day.
