I was using the term "white knight" ironically. What happened was disgusting. Mostly, I posted the info because I wanted to react to this, and thought other people would too. It's probably useless, especially because the media is serving his head on a platter, but the alternative is just watching and seething. I don't know, maybe if he receives enough nasty emails people will realize how much we hate child abuse?

It's awful to see something like that, it is not discipline no matter what anyone says, really I think any form of physical discipline is unnecessary, I was never hit or spanked or anything as a kid, and I turned out okay, and it is especially unjustifiable to do something so cruel over something so stupid like illegally downloading a game or some music, hopefully though this will ruin this "mans" life.

Part of me wants to agree with you, but I also know that it's hard to go against your parents, especially when they threaten to beat you and put you into submission on a regular basis. This girl was probably fearing for her life during every second she spent in that house. Going to the police probably seemed to her like an invitation for a huge beating.

Don't forget what would of occurred next if she had. its possible she would have been in a even worst state than now if she had went to the police the next day. At least now she pretty much on good terms with her parents(assuming her and her dad are). if she had showed the police the video it would have literally made a hole in the family considering she has a little sister.
