Edit: A little bit of an explanation, this is one of my characters who's name is Neita. (In case you can't see it on the paper. O_O)
As well, I have several other characters (Some I haven't drawn yet) if you would like to see the ones I have drawn I will post them in this thread.
proportions need work, sketching things out will help you with that. also, get better paper ^^ you're on your way.

I like to draw on lined paper, makes it easier, and yeah I realize I messed up on the shoulders and hips. There are a bit uneven. (Except the shoulders, those are VERY uneven. xD)
Edit: I also draw out the figure on the same piece of paper then work off of that. It's much better then sketching and takes less time. =)

Don't, it ruins the entire aesthetic of the piece.
Lined paper can make any piece look shoddy.

NO, NO NO NO NO xD never will you say this ever again! hahaha.
using lined paper and not sketching things out cannot be used in an excuse for time-saving!
Art takes time, don't rush it! And if you're asking how your art looks, that must mean that you know your art can be improved on. This is how ^^

Well, I'd say that's pretty good! But I could see stuff that would make this picture better! First of all, the "turtleneck" is either a bit low to cover the mouth, or the nose and eyes are too high. Either way, that looks a bit weird. Also, the eyes, or sunglasses, or whatever are over her hair.
This is pretty good though!
