Not really, however I saw a couple 6.5 dudes today. I'm 5.11 about 6 foot in shoes, so yeah who knows.

I'm 5'6" and 13.

i was randomly surfing the internet, looking for some pictures, until i found this. seeing the thread is still going, i am going to post the graph here, which shows the average height of americans at different ages.

don't know if the picture is going to show up nicely or not. in case it doesn't, you are at the 25th percentile, compared with other people of your age and gender. slightly shorter than average.

5'10 here, and I have Asian in me. How legendary is that!

Its about average, but a little short, if that makes any sense.

Also, I see it as about right as far as concerning height. The taller you are the higher your center of gravity, the shorter the lower, and with a lower center of gravity you can "move better", but with being about average in height at 5'8 you're not an ant.

5'8 is a fine balance between the being tall and short.

We have a friend in our pub gathering, that measures at 5'8 and he is classed as short. That's because most of us are 6' tall and the tallest is 6'7. Being nearly a foot shorter than the tallest does infer that you are short, by association. Hell, when he sits down on a bar stool, Stu is still taller than Strange when he's stood up.

Have you considered becoming a pre-school teacher? This would mean that you're quite a bit taller than the rest of the people you associate with. You won't even get the gangly kids that hit puberty early passing you until after they've left school.

Aren't most people in the UK around 5'11 or straight up 6 anyways? The norm there and in the US seems pretty different - although that may just be an uninformed stereotype on my end. :P

Jocks all tend to be 6'2 and up - it seems to be a good model for that highly developed part of society.

I'm not aware of there being any other convention either in the UK or America.

I'm no jock, but I'm 6'2" and I'm considered average height among my friends. I only have one friend that I can think of that's shorter than 6'. But kids nowadays seem to be getting taller and taller and taller. Well they are here in Australia anyway. Now, I'm not saying we're all giants over here, but when I do happen to be walking around shops/whatever the kids these days seem to tower over me. And I like to think of myself as fairly tall. But you just have to check recent research on this subject and you will find the average height of people has increased a couple of inches over the last few years.

Unless you're 5'4 or something equally ridiculous... Like 5'3!! Don't worry about it, everyone will treat you like a human being, but not totally like a human.

I'm 5'9 1/2,I'm originally Japanese but I live my life in Hong Kong, I feel good about my height because I can roll around as long as I want, and being 5'8 would be a rather average height if your an East Asian like I am.
(When I was at one of the world warrior tournaments they've listed my height at 5'8, they also made an inaccuracy in my birthday too once but that's a different story)

I'm 6'2 and that's tall for a 15 year old Arab.
