It was alright I guess. I was still somewhat hopeful for a London GTA, it so would have worked brilliantly and been a nice change for the series.

I mean the trailer looks wonderful of course, but it has no substance yet. All I saw for half of it was regular people stuff that you know you can't do in a GTA game, it's using it to describe what the main character wants to do but isn't. I like the idea of an older kind of character though, that should be a decent change. I imagine he'll be a tough ass.

Anyway, come on GTAVI.

Sounds nothing short of awesome.

I really don't know about that guy's posts about it, some of it sounds convincing, but ANYBODY can go on there and post that stuff, saying that they work for/with R*

I don't think so, but Oliver seems to get away with it by putting an accent over the 'i'.

Wherever & whatever new features there are, I won't be able to play. Thanks to an idiot who thought robbing a taxi will be cool, & bunch more of idiots who bashed the professional gamers for saying GTA isn't an online game. So, nobody will EVER play it here (unless they go pirate, that is)

The one this I noticed about that trailer was an abundance of colour. Looks beautiful, but I'd hate to see how the console versions will look in comparison to that trailer.

We had some good times, Newgrounds.

I don't know if they ever made any mention, but seeing things like no ties or even mentions of any of the previous games mixed with an entire different layout of Liberty city, I really don't know of a good argument against the idea that GTA4 is a reboot.

Kotaku has quite a good article up showing what they identified in the trailer.

Link.

One of the more interesting things is that the car licence plates all have "San Andreas" written at the top. I'm still sceptical that we'll get the whole of San Andreas in GTA V but I'm hopeful, I guess.

GTA is all about free roaming fun so to limit it to just a single city because one console's tech can't handle it is bull.

The last thing I want is you PS3 user being held back but if a large game can be made within a single xbox disk then it would be much preferred.

I was sooooo excited when a friend linked me to this... I was like, *squeel* then I saw that it takes place in San Andreas, and my grin grew so wide, it made my cheeks hurt.

Hahaha, the hobo looks NOTHING like Niko.
I'm pretty happy with it being set in Los Santos, the surrounding area must be quite large, considering we can fly planes.

Logic. You're an idiot, have you never seen anything involving British criminals? Snatch? Layer Cake? Hell, the getaway was an amazing game that is very similar to GTA. I'm British, so I'm probably biased but I think the British make brilliant criminals and gangsters.

Maybe I'd take what you said into consideration if you didn't call me an idiot. Why don't you try being less of a dick? Also, It doesn't matter what kind of criminals there were, GTA is about living the good life which is an American dream, and I doubt your average knows or gives a fuck about any British criminals and their tea and crumpet exploits.

I'd apologise but you sunk to my level and so I won't.

GTA is not about living the American dream, take Lost and Damned for instance, Chinatown wars, San Andreas, none of them are about the American Dream, even IV quickly drops it.

Don't have the energy to read through the whole thread but damn I jizzed in my pants when I saw the trailer! Vinewood!! San Andreas!?
And doesn't look like the "black gangsta ghetto shit" somebody referred to even though I had nothing against it, in fact I liked it - obviously, since SA is my favourite of all GTA's.

But yeah. Can't wait for this. Don't know how am I going to be able to play it though since I don't own PS3 or 360.

Admittedly, that would be some awesome DLC but I think it would also be some of the most expensive DLC we've ever seen.

I doubt it'd be more expensive than the Shivering Isles, considering it's Rockstar I'd say it'd be about 800 - 1200. They generally seem to have good prices for DLC.

And good DLC in general. Fucking Lost and Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony was worth the price. Sure, much, much short than the core game, but still great. It added to the story (The diamonds were a great motif) that crossed everything.

Fucking Saints Row 2's DLC weren't worth a damn thing. I regretted spending any money on it.

Wasn't Shivering Isles 2400MSP which is £20? Either way, it's not like they'd just be adding a few missions and stuff to an existing map like they did with Lost and Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony. They'd have to create a new map and do all that stuff on top of it, so they'd essentially be creating a new game if you think about it. I don't realistically see it becoming future DLC but I'd love to be wrong on that one.

Anybody have seen the new trailer ??

it look very good and I was admirating all of this shit today but is it me or it look like a serious GTA ???
Like the graphic , the city , all of the background look very serious like it was made from another compagny then Rockstar...

Thats my only doubt , I just wish GTA doesnt turn like a B-free roam driving games like Driver , or you know all the shit games that copy GTA and its not good. The trailer looked like this kind of games.

And whats the city names by the way ? It looked like Florida ?

I think a GTA set in London might be quite good. Especially seeing as GTA is a British, or more specifically Scottish, series. It would be nice to see them pay homage to their homeland again.

We've got Los Santos anyway, so I guess there's not much point in this debate.

I agree with the London setting. I hope they do one at some point, I could see it being a lot of fun.
