4.09 / 5.00 12,195 ViewsI'm a regular member of this forum but due to today being a particularly shitty day I can't help but think about anything but a certain illness i'm currently "suffering" from: anorexia.
To try and stop myself doing anything too rash I figured a good way to distract myself would be to talk with you guys, albeit under an alias.
So please feel free to ask me any questions (preferably related to the ED) and i'll do my best to answer them and hopefully clear up some misinformation/ignorance in the process.
What will you be dressing up as for halloween?
Please say Skeletor...
Are you actually afraid to gain weight, or is it more of an obsession with staying skinny
Also, how much do you eat on a normal day?
Okay I've had my laugh.
Really though, do you feel disgusted at the thought of eating? Or is it just that you find no real urge to eat?
How does it feel to be a whiney little bitch?

lmao, nah me and a bunch of mates are going as a full squad of power-rangers. If that doesn't work out though Skeletor can be my back-up.

Both of those go hand-in-hand from my perspective and they're definitely the most obvious/apparent motivators. As time has passed though other things have worked their way into the occasion, for instance now if I do eat, there's a huge chance of digestive issues, stomach cramps, vomiting etc.

Most days I "eat" nothing. I'll usually drink about a litre of 0cal soda throughout the day and a lot of water to mimic the feeling of a full stomach and to keep my energy levels up. If it's a particularly rough day i'll maybe have an energy drink as well, which despite being relatively high in calories, doesn't really trigger anything for me so I can get away with it.
The last thing I "ate" was a regular sized portion of pasta and some sauce on Monday.

I get huge cravings to eat food but disgust is what stops me from actually having anything. There are occasions though where i'll start eating and struggle to stop, i.e binge.
By a regular member are you saying you're a user posting on an alt?

Either that or he thinks 3 posts qualifies him as a BBS regular lol
How did you get it? I can understand the stigma behind a woman getting anorexia, but considering the chances for a male is so much lower and there far fewer male anorexia sufferers, I'm trying to figure out exactly what brought you to this point.
Serious question on top, less serious here > Are you twilight btw?

Do you look in the mirror and actually see yourself bigger?
Unfortunatly, anorexia (whoa, spelled that right the first time without using the spell checker!) Isnt a physical condition, its a mental one. And its caused by either girls seeing these super skinny models thinking that thats what they need to look like, or guys doing the same with male equivilants.
So, in retrospect, i have no idea where im going with this, and will just stop right now
you are fat and will never be beautiful until you are thin

Your saposed to say that to a female anorexic, idiot
thanks for ruining it!
I just have 1 question...Don't you ever feel hungry from not eating? or is that bolemic? I don't know but i just can't stand not eating. Don't take this name offense, it's my name on xbox too. So good luck with life

It developed over time.
I've been aware of my weight and generally wanted to be "slim" since I was about 10 (i'm 18 just now). It has only really been in the past year and a half though that i've gone off the rails so to speak.
I can't quite remember what set the ball in motion but there was a specific moment in time that acted as a transition between my lifestyle and my ED lifestyle of today. It was a particularly strange moment in time because it was like watching my mind deteriorate and rebuild.
I would see a picture of a cake and think "eww that looks vile" whilst still being able to remember not only a fortnight ago looking at the same picture and thinking "oh tasty".
Not sure if that makes any sense.

Most of the time i'm fairly sure what I see in the mirror is fairly accurate. It's only when I eat things go weird. When I eat I start seeing myself as fat and disgusting, even if i've only had the smallest amount to eat. I know it's physically impossible to become fat from eating one sandwhich but my mind doesn't work that way.
I remember one day eating a yoghurt though and looking at myself in the mirror later and seeing myself normally. It was incredible, because in that moment in time I felt like i'd beaten my ED.

Sure. Took this just for you.
are you the person who wanted to become a male anorexic earlier this year?
eat a sandwhich made of solidifed lard and suger you stick!

Yes I feel hungry. The hunger pangs come and go though, i.e I don't feel crippling hunger constantly.
Bulimia is generally defined as binge/purge eat cycles. E.g eating a shit tonne of food and then making yourself puke deliberately to get it out of your system.
No offence taken.

lmfao i missed this. Who wanted to become an anorexic? It's kind of one of those self designatory things. It's not like you need anyone's permission.
I joke about this but I shouldn't, It's an incredibly tempting lifestyle to fall into but once your in it's incredibly hard to get out. Wish i'd never walked down this road.

Yes. I lied earlier when I said active member. I just didn't want anyone to raise any silly questions about why I had a new account and such. The real motive behind making a new account was to avoid attaching shame to something I have a bit of pride in I guess.

I'm 6'1 and last time I weighed myself I was 121 lbs. I'm probably about 119-120 just now.
I'm not going to weigh myself just now though
