Can't seem to find the source, the smell is just lingering around the trash can, what could be inside?

Not sure what source is off the narrow information, but to cure said smell take the following steps:

1. Empty bin
2. Clean bin
3. ????
4. Profit!

Spray some odor eating air fresher for good measure, not just perfumed stuff that masks the smell but shit that'll deal with it (febreeze for example)

Well it could be some food can...if your family eats in the toilet but it's not fish for sure unless someone in your family had a pet fish or a food fish...Check other sources that might be near it like the toilet...if you're willing to sacrifise a hand
