WiiU is the sound an ambulance makes.
Anyway, I want them to get rid of motion controls. They suck.

Didn't they already do that with the tablet controller?

1) less Mario more metroid.

2) respectable third party games, less mario.

3) It's too late but they should've retained game-cube backward compatibility. Why aren't you learning from 360's/ps3 mistakes?

4) More interesting Wii exclusives in general. Metroid prime 3, RED STEEL 2, sonic COLORS and Smash bros Brawl and Marvel vs tatsunoko were the only things worth picking up a Wii.

In a way yes. They still have accelerometers and gyroscopes, but they use the Wii motion plus controllers for other motion controlled game that can pair up with the touch screen, like the golf club being the wii mote, and the ball being displayed on the touch screen.

What do I want in the Wii U...

1. Well, it's been said multiple times in the thread already, but I think they really need to change the console name. 'Revolution' sounded like a console I wanted to buy. 'Wii'? Not so much. This applies to the Wii U as well. Horrible name.

2. Nintendo needs to STOP appealing to the to casual gamer. The Wii has sold a hell of a lot more units than its competitors, mostly because of it's 'kid-friendly' titles. They need more balance between the 'kid-friendly' and the 'hardcore'. I'm not saying the Wii didn't have some great adult titles. It just didn't have many.

3. I want some new series. I'm getting tired of over-grown gorillas, Italian plumbers, and spunky elf kids. I get it. Mario is popular. I don't mind seeing a new Mario title every now and then. However, Mario's dying. People are getting tired of him. Nintendo needs some fresh faces for their new console.

It also has a motion sensing camera. I saw someone play a golf game where you lay down the controller on the floor and make a swinging motion which it detects with the camera.

Also, did anybody see that game where you drag your fingers across the touch screen to throw shurikens at the screen? That looks cool.

I love the Gamecube controller to death. I'm probably in the minority though when I say my first console as a Gamecube.

From what they showcased at E3, I'm interested in the Game where you two people run around a sci-fi type playground while trying to kill the person with the tablet controller, who happens to be able to fly. The game also had every character dressed up as Metroid characters.

I heard about that. EA is fighting really hard to support the Wii U, especially since at E3 almost all the game's showcased were EA games.

I can imagine sooooooooo much flame if Nintendo confirms EA's integration of Origin on the system. Personally I'd like to see Valve push Steam on the Wii U, but I personally don't mind who gets it. It'll be a lot more support than they got for the Wii in either case.

What I want in the Wii U

1. Whatever made the Wii's predecessors awesome

2. Music/video playback (Iwata-san, the time will come when this cannot be ignored)

3. Something that is not Jackie Chan.

What you want in the Wii U.

A name change.
How about call the revolution, the name the Wii was going to originally have.
Other than that... How about decent third party support.
i cried when I kept seeing that in E3.

I can tell you from first hand experience that the graphics of the Wii U are as good or better than that of the Xbox 360.

Will the Wii U be made out of the components that Greenpeace wanted? Because they're giving Nintendo a lot of flak for using those chemicals (more information here, scroll down to Nintendo).

Also, the Wii U design is good, and Official Nintendo Magazine praised it (as much as any fanboy mag would).

What I want to know is the line up of games they have. I also hope they don't start releasing the games two months after the system like they did with the 3DS.

To be honest, the 3DS was released a month before the games came out- which is just a remake of Ocarina of Time that I loved to death. And Nintendo is doing compensation right now for 3DS owners. Nintendo should make more games for the 3DS

I hope this pic of me at E3 holds you guys over.

Are you a developer? Or is this from that open-to-the-public game expo?

The Gamecube is shit in sales because it appeals to the fucking hardcore crowd assholes. Since it's in the minority though, it didn't made much money! But in the end, you love the Gamecube. I love it too, but it was the hardcore crowd part that brought it down.

So before anyone makes a statement about how it did not appeal to the hardcore minority, shut the fuck up and put that shit in perspective! The Wii prints money! The DS prints money! The age of Wii is when Nintendo prints shitloads of money! It's all about money! Once the money is placed in, then the hardcore fans go next.

As sad as this sounds, I would buy a Wii U solely for a new Metroid game if it ever arrives on the console. Yes, Other M was a bomb but all it would take to light my eyes is the announcement of another Metroid game.

Super Smash Bros. 4? Pfffft.

Don't shortchange me here. Also, put one anolog stick so they aren't horizontal. I liked the Gamecube layout.
4. Stop with the ports. I realise Nintendo has a lot of catching up to do with third party devs, and i do want ports of some games coming to Nintendo systems, but too many ports will render you new "super console" like your 3DS. A system who's best games were out on systems years ago.

5. Get outside help with your on-line. Nintendo's on-line support sucks. We all know that. Get support from an outside specialist who has great experience with on-line play. You will not only reel in a big part of your market, but also make your already fun multiplayer games better.

Not much I can say other than these three. These are really the only reasons I want to differ with the Wii U and the way it works now. Who knows guys, this console may actually surprise us.

I really hope that the Wii U's graphics are on par with what Sony and Microsoft will have out next, but I'm slightly skeptical. I really hope that it appeals to hardcore gamers and older audiences a lot more than the Wii did so that Microsoft and Sony fanboys will stop bashing Nintendo.

1. Make sure that there are quality 3rd party games for the Wii U, and try to make them standout over the typical "casual, family-friendly" games that had plagued the original Wii. To follow that up, don't be so realiant on ports from other consoles. A few ports is fine and dandy, but make it a small fraction of the gaming library.

2. Improve the online service, and make the friend codes easier to understand. This goes without saying, but for Wii owners who wanted to play online, this was a bitch to deal with, and it definitely lagged behind the PS3 and the 360 in the online gaming department.

3. Some new IPs and franchises would help big time, especially some of them that aren't as relevent as Mario and Pokemon. {i.e. Golden Sun.} It's always important to get some fresh material once in a while, just don't go overboard with it of course. Also, it wouldn't hurt to make more mature games to expand the horizons, and not leave anyone left out. Most likely, you're soon going to see both the Madworld and NMH franchises jump ship to other consoles soon, so it's always nice to have something else down the pipeline.

4. Change the name of the console, that goes without saying. The Revolution is a great name for the new console, hell, calling it Wii 2 is a lot better than calling it Wii U, for what it's worth.

5. Crank up the processing power, and make it in HD, because gameplay alone isn't enough to sastify today's hardcore gamers, fair or not. Completely marginalizing one part of game mechanics for another is not the way to go, and that can be a slippery slope.

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

my biggest concerns is how strong the "wii U" will be when the other nxt gens come out. will it still be as strong or will it be just like the wii now? and another thing, I dont know if anyone mentioned this but..................... THEY SERIOUSLY HAVE TO CHANGE THE NAME. other than that, better online, dont overuse the new features, and kick some hard ass.

one thing I didnt like about the wii or the ds was when they surround the whole entire game around its one feature, whether thats motion control or touch screen, such as phantom hourglass. these extra features are meant to be... well..... extra, personally, I believe the smartest thing they did in brawl was leave out the motion control, cuz If I had to swing the remote every time I wanted to attack, I think that game woulda gone down hill.

oh, and a muffin button, definitly need one of those......

Actually some people are HOPING it will be like the Wii because the Wii was so successful in sales speaking.

Yeah....it was mentioned pretty widely in the first post....

other than that, better online, dont overuse the new features, and kick some hard ass.

Yeah, that's what a lot of us are really hoping for. Gamecube and Wii were awful for online so were really hoping Wii U will finally show us what Nintendo Online could actually be like.

Ik it was mentioned, I was just making a joke :p

and I know that the wii sales were off the roof, I even did a report on how the wii did so much better (sales wise) than all the other systems like 4 years ago, but what I meant was, I, as a big nintendo fan, loved almost every game made by nintendo. zelda, mario, metroid, kirby, donkey kong, brawl, strikers, and all the other games. the games are so awesome that I never actually cared about the quality of the games, they were so fun that I never even though twice about the quality, but 5 years down the line............. I began to wish that nintendo would have some of those awesome third party games. assassins creed, dead space, SKYRIM >.< and so many more. the wii U may have the new games that are coming out now, but my question is. 3 years down the line, when microsoft and sony come out with a system so huge that the wii u will be as strong as the wii compared to 360 and ps3, WILL THE THIRD PARTIES ONCE MORE ABANDON NINTENDO. That my fellow newgrounders is my biggest fear.

Ubisoft is making a MMORPG for Wii U.

And they claim it will be an "AAA" title.

As long as it's not Assasin's Creed or a game aimed at having girls embrace their creative sides.
