About The Synfig Animation Tool... 2011-10-08 22:48:11 Reply

Howdy.

I've started off animating with the free "Synfig Animator". For those of you who are familiar with the tool, would you recommend that I continue using it and investing my time into getting good with it? I'm afraid that I'll use it for three months only to learn that it's severely limited software. Thing is, I don't know one way or the other.
If it helps at all, I'm mainly interested in stick-figure-animation and I don't find "Pivot" too appealing.

Any help would be much appreciated; thank you for your time!

I've found that Synfig is difficult to get the hang of, that's probably because all the detailed instructions I find are for version 0.62 and prior, whereas I'm using version 0.63. If anyone has any experience with the program, your guidance would be thoroughly appreciated.

See you around!
