Well this is sort of breaking news in the entertainment world, but...

Will Arnett (GOB) Just tweeted :I'm peeing with @batemanjason at the moment..and we can confirm that we are going to make new AD eps and a movie

The entire cast is together and reunited for the first time in years at The New Yorker Festival right now. It appears to be very legit.

Another Announceent: A 9-10 episode season, one character per episode, catching up with what they've each been doing for the past five years, then a movie

I don't know how many fans of Arrested Development are on Newgrounds, but I am a huge fan and this is the best news I've heard in a while.

We should keep posting updates here, and also celebrate....

We've always known there was going to be a movie, but it's nice knowing that there'll be a whole extra series before it comes.

It'll still be a long time before we see any of it, but I'm just really glad that David Cross will have more work!

Dude, "Arrested Development" was like the most popular comedy on the Internet Movie Database and while I had heard there was a movie, I had no idea it was going to be an all new season! Let us hope that America is smarter this time and we actually give higher ratings to a show considered one of the best of all time. It's too bad people ignore the really good things out there. Granted, I was never a fan so I probably won't watch it myself.

Ratings won't matter. It's just going to be one season with a follow-up movie. They're not scared about being cancelled. They have a huge cult following now, they're doing this as fan-service.

What?!?!! This is outstanding. I am so excited. Arrested Development was one of my favorite shows ever and I thought it was one of the biggest mistakes ever so cancel it. AND they're actually making the movie? This better be legit or I am going to riot in the streets. I'm so excited.

I am currently doing my best Chershire Cat impression while reading this thread.

I just worry that it's been too long now. Though apparently the script has been worked on since the show was cancelled so in theory it should be excellent.
