Take Ritalin or other mood altering drugs?
My parents made me take medication for ADD, Bipolar disorder and anger all the way growing up. The reason I was always so angry is because I had to take all kinds of medications in the first place.
I stopped when I left for college, and I have noticed absolutely no side effects since doing so.

No.....my mother was and still is completely unaware of the existence of the field of psychiatry. I'm not even joking.
Hmm, it seems as if you never needed these drugs. I mean, there are quite a few kids today who've been misdiagnosed with ADD, ADHD, etc. because they're simply energetic and rebellious as children.

I honestly never did. The school councilor (fucking idiot) decided to diagnose every kid in the school with some psychiatric disorder so that the school would get extra money from all the kids having disabilities. It was fucked up.

My parents have made my younger brother take antidepressants. But then again, they've made him a hell of a lot better. I'm not kidding. That kid used to burst into tears if he couldn't find his shoes, for no particular reason.
And for a 15 year old, that's not acceptable.
But yeah, they didn't just plug drugs into him for no reason.

If what you're saying is true, you might want to file a lawsuit against the school district. You had better take them to court because that is just reckless endangerment of the students who attended at the time.
I urge you to contact a lawyer and gather some evidence that what you claim did indeed happened.

my mother took some sort of anti depressents which made her hallucinate which she didnt like so we havent had any of this mood drugs
probably a good thing, I should feel the way I am, not be altered by these artficial drugs (although natural drugs like majuraiana are probably fine as thats more stress relief rather than an anti depressant)

I've never taken mood altering drugs. Ever. I've taken prescriptions for all sorts of things, but never anything that changes my mental state. Never needed it.

I used to take abilify or some crap because I had anger issues but they only made me worse and my dad decided to not have me be on medication. I don't have anger issues at all nowadays. I had them when I was a brat, though.
I have a strong personality, so bite me.
Unlike you guys, I could handle the real world and didn't need no pillz to behave properly.

Most doctors diagnose people without doing a complete evaluation. That's how it was with me.
After all, i'm doing fine without it.
I take adderall on school days because I can't reliably focus otherwise. I was against taking it at first, but my mom more or less forced me to take it. I felt horribly depressed for a few days out of the week for about two weeks, then it suddenly went away and my grades went up by a lot.
The medicine doesn't have any side effects other than doubling my heart rate, which is apparently normal.
Miracles happen.

I've been on just about every ADD drug under the sun, but I couldn't appreciate how lucky I was to have those prescriptions at the time. About a year ago, though, I found all my old bottles of pills; adderall, focalin, vyvanse, etc. I pretty much went on a month long binge. It was glorious.
