I made this today as a pose practice and it got out of hand, detailing/proper shading is yet to be done.
The details are so soft on these I can barely make anything out.

I already said, most of them are WIPS, the ones I just posted are WIPS.
:/

by the way, I love ALOT of the art you make. It is just gorgeous.
<3
but back on topic the ONLY one of those that is in any way detailed is the head of the guy I made for a pose. The rest is basically practice. except for the alien thing, but I can understand where you're coming from on the whole I can't make anything out since on that one and the others I pretty much used the same color for everything out of laziness. Also over-all it's just VERY blurry.
So you finally make a thread, so are you just showing us? Or is there feedback and criticism you want brought upon these pieces? With out knowing that people will probably look at it and not say a thing or as myself, won't be able to make out what the pieces actually are. At least not until you post the pieces further along in the process.
Art is vast as Love is deep, Trying to Explain the two is like trying to discover everything there is about the ocean.
My art thread
My comic thread
Oh thanks.
I know it's hard to finish a pictures when there's so many things you want to do. My HDD isn't just filled with uncolored sketches, but half composed MIDIs and unfinished C++ projects. I almost never get around to uploading something finished.
Do you start with a sketch or just block out shapes with color?
The first one would look great with some blue shadows and yellow highlights.

I just start out with blobs of color and give it a form and basically go with that.

I'm basically posting these than continuing it along, at least the ones that I like/want to detail.
Update, I don't really like it. When I crank up the contrast I feel like a cheater :(

Also, WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY HANDS.
Can anybody help me with that?
also this is still a WIP.
I can make out the arms but I'm not sure where the hands are. I can only assume the two round things under his face are pectorals.
If your trying to draw a figure, you should really plain it out somehow. Whether you block it out with colors or sketch it first. Blobs are all fine I guess if your just trying to express yourself.

I know, but so far I always never plan it out and it turns out looking weird 99.9999% of the time, I really need to.
Also, I didn't even know how I was going to do the hands so I kind of just made these circles. (sorry if it hurt your eyes) arms are still being worked on. I kind of just did the face in 15 minutes so it's nothing good and I have to fix it (pectorals, ear positiong, etc).
But honestly I am very new to digital painting. It's kind of hard and I wish there was a way for me to make solid colors with solid lines that look decent with a mouse. Because I would LOVE that instead of lowering the flow and kind of just going with it.
I think it's also important I have no idea how I do anatomy.
posting this here.
also while I'm bothering, I'd say to make the head shape more head shaped. You may as well throw in a forehead and neck as well as a proper chin, there is not mus of a reason to have it just be a circle.

Actually, I just did this to see what I could do with a circle but went ahead and did what you told me to do.
