With the two part season premiere, here's something a friend of mine pointed out:

With the character Discord, it made for a great start to the season, and the animation of this particular character was great as well, as we've come to expect from the show. My friend point out that the animation style of Discord bore a really close resemblance to a favorite cartoon of mine, Ed, Edd, n' Eddy. And really.... holy crap. Not only is the style reminiscent, but a.k.a. cartoon (which made EEE), dissolved a few years back, so it's feasible chronologically.

Also from the vault of holy crap am I really thinking this deeply about a cartoon, the first episode this season, look at the scene in the maze with Applejack. As she enters a strange grove, grotesque sages appear, speaking in rhymes and riddles, boding a bad end to this venture. They bid the hero look into her future in the pool as they circle, reciting more rhymes and riddles. By their misleading visions and advice, our formerly honest and noble hero is led astray.

Oh my gosh guys... For the first time ever, I admitted to being a brony to more than just one individual at a time.

Last nite, at my Lamda (Gay-straight Alliance) Club, we were all talking about how groups of people don't tolerate the LGBT Community. And then i said, "if i have learned anything from watching My Little Pony, It's to love and tolerate everyone." It went over very well. One of my friends, who i previously had no idea that he was a brony, asked me if i had seen the 2nd season episodes yet. Naturally, i replied that Discord was a badass for far too many reasons. We talked about Pinkie Pie's "Chocolate Rain" moments and Flutterbitch. Damn, it feels good to know that people i hang out with watch MLP:FiM!!!!

Around five people IRL know I'm a brony. I only bring it up if it's relevant though. And since most people wouldn't think about talking to me about ponies, it wouldn't really get brought up.

Yeah, i never thought that i would really bring up to any group of people either. But like i said, it went over very well. I've actually helped organize a nice little meeting session for a group of us, some have seen MLP while others haven't, to watch the majority of Season 1.
