I think it's a bit much to say it's going downhill.
As for the show, I found season 4 to be the best yet, I especially loved the finale, and the fandom is really too broad to say things like that, I prefer looking at individual artist and works.
As for an anime, I'd be up for it. I'm up for anything as long as it's well written, and done properly.
I think a lot of people here can agree when I say that I'm one of the most pessimistic 'bronies' around. I've been of the opinion that the fandom has been going down hill for a while now, and nothing short of a full turn around is going to change that.
This is not necessarily me saying that the show itself is going down hill. I've enjoyed the show up to this point, and though some episodes have disappointed me, I've enjoyed it quite a bit.
Except for that really, really, really boring episode that featured Scootaloo and not being able to fly. I know it covered a controversial issue, but holy shit this is a cartoon, not a documentary.
My main gripe has always been with the fandom. I've always been pessimistic in relation to the fandom. I try my best to distance myself from the stereotypical body of the fandom that assumes an overly obsessive and compulsory image. I understand enjoying something and discussing it, but there have to be certain limits.
Personally, I think that most of the artists and animators in the fandom are just cashing in on the ad revenue generated by all the brony-flavored clicks.
Regardless, that won't stop me from trying to become talented in voice acting and art while also using the brony fandom as a base to help me practice. It's easy to work with such a positive minded community, and I hope it helps.
