Here's a petition to get Hasbro to work allow the Fighting is Magic game to continue. It currently has almost 1,300 petitions signed in less than 24 hours. It worked for the fan made King's Quest game when Activision sent at least 2 cease and desist letters on 2 separate occasions. And lord knows this fandom is big enough to get something done.

I agree. Fan projects mean free publicity, and can only help their profits. They should be wholeheartedly supporting their creative fans, not slapping them with C&Ds.

I wasn't exactly fond of this episode either. Seems like something they should have saved as a two or even three part thing at the end. Making a tie in with the pet-sitting episode, getting the Crystal Empire to host the games in part one, and then the actual games going on for parts two and three. Give it a nice opening ceremony song and closing ceremony song and you got something great! It would also be interesting to see Spike and Pinkie Pie doing commentary from a hot air balloon again.

The new episode was horseshit. I can't believe they wasted the entire premise on that asinine "misunderstanding" plot.

The entire fucking conflict in the episode could have been resolved by just looking at her fucking cutie mark, and noticing that she wasn't the fucking inspector.

This episode could have been so great. I have no idea why they just tossed it down the shitter like they did.

The fact that Fighting is Magic was cancelled makes me want to not watch the series it's based on anymore. Dude, they didn't want that out there, fan made or not. Sometimes you just gotta accept these things. Yeah it sucks that a fan made thing went down. However if anyone is being immature it is you. Hasbro does like the brony community and its fans, I know this because not only have they kept Derpy in as an Easter Egg character, but they referenced her, by the name the fans gave her. You wanna be a bitch and do a boycott, without knowing how to do that but enjoy throwing the word around then fine. Nobody is forcing you to watch the TV show in the first place.

Slight correction. The Friendship is Magic team loves the fandom, Hasbro doesn't give a shit. They don't want to lose any customers, but as far as going out of their way to please us, yeah, that'll never happen. Hasbro is all about business, and realistically all they can do is hire people to trust that they will handle the television show well, which they've chosen wisely with Lauren Faust. The artistic, entertainment, and fan reception lie with the studio production team, Hasbro is just the business side all about the money. That's not an insult to Hasbro, it's really just their job.

But yeah, the team at FIM NEVER would've pulled that game, and Hasbro doesn't understand or have any serious relationship with the fandom well enough to understand the implications of being trademark nazis. All they did was hear about a game using their characters, and they issued a C&D.

It's completely unreasonable, as MegamanX and King's Quest were able to resolve similar situations of fan-made content without just shutting it down. Luckily, this story is starting to take notice in the media, including Forbes:

Being a big ES nerd, I would say Bethesda. I don't know how friendship could translate into an RPG, but I do know that if anyone can do it they can!

Downloaded the leaked Fighting is Magic alpha (ironically, the developers were originally opposed to the leak, now it's pretty much all that survives of the game), and it's alot better than I had imagined. I played a couple of rounds with my brother, and even though a control bug cost me a match (alpha), I still had alot of fun playing it.

This is a game that needs to see completion. Right now, I'm absolutely furious with Hasbro for pulling this shit.
