1. The pacing was awful.
2. The writing was sub par.
3. The songs were hokey and uninspired.

That episode was awesome. Some of the animation seemed rehashed from the end of Season 3, but it was beautifully crafted.

Adorably cute, sweet and heart warming Fluttershy episode with beautiful singing especially from Fluttershy and Flutterguy. Nothing much more needs to really be said I guess.
Oh except for my best line of the episode "No offense, but you kind of sound like a guy." or similar from Pinkie Pie.

So... I was extremely satisfied with the amount of stupidsexyApplejack in Simple Ways, and Flutterplots in Filli Vanilli. I've loved nearly every episode this season, I can't wait for next weeks! Though I can't help but think that Fluttershy has a long way to go in dealing with her many-faceted shyness. I guess one baby step at a time.

The episode was probably the best CMC one yet. Really disappointed so far that it's the only episode where a member of the Mane 6 had their name in the title and they didn't get their key...
Now, I wonder how the next episode is gonna go. After all, it probably takes place during Three's a Crowd...

If only the writers had the Breezies celebrating Lief Erikson Day. That would've been perfect. Also I'm surprised nothing went wrong with Twilight's spell towards the end. Would've made a predictable yet interesting segue to a two-parter.

True. I just found the high pitched voices adorable. Also of interesting note, apparently the person who voiced SeeBreeze also voiced Vegeta from DragonBall Z.
