It really depends on what they're doing. Least I still care about the community/site. :PWhy does that strike me as hilarious?! ...oh yeah, I remember now! :P
I wouldn't know.
I also don't understand how posting pointless spam on a message board could be considered fun, especially to someone who considers themselves or is looked at as being 'mature'. I don't understand how some of the moderators can keep their on site status after they've clearly abused their privileges and banned another user for personal reasons, or because they have conflicting opinions, whatever the case may be. I think you should accept the status to help the site grow, and show your support, rather than drive people away from it in any manner. Even if you're not entirely enthusiastic about it, at least don't set a horrible example because that sends mixed messages, and before you know it everyone's walking over the top the site, taking advantage of it, abusing it, not giving a fuck about anything because the supposed leaders don't, or they're at least giving the illusion that they don't. I think that leads to these 'downfalls'. I'm not the only one who kinda sees that the general forums are kinda going downhill. I just want things to be more positive around the board, and the negativity stripped, even the sarcasm, it's just not healthy.
My personal idea of fun in regards to message boards/the site is partaking in a conversation that's somewhat stimulating/captures my interest. Not personally posting a bunch of random garbage, banning every person from the audio portal because I hate their music. I think actually doing some actual good is more fun than anything. But you know, that's just me. Go contribute something worthwhile, have fun, talk about what you want, just stay positive and have some class while doing so.
