Lately I have been diving in the essentials of Marvel Comics and just recently got my hands on a Dr.Strange Essentials book. You might have heard that name in the Vs. series a few times and from what I read so far it's actually really creative.
What about you?

Barev dzez.
I grew up with Batman TAS and always loved their style of Batman, and how real the characters and batman himself were.
So as a result, I gradually went from episodes to studying the influences that the writers had, and from there I went to reading the major batman comics (from arkham asylum, to the killing joke year one, year two, knightfall, and the dark knight returns) to less known ones like Batman: Shadow of the Bat.
but I wouldn't really call myself a comic book fan, because I only read batman comics, and stuff centered around batman, (for example, JLA: Tower of Babel) because batman comics tend to be far more real, "superpowers" tend to turn me off if used to enhance the main character, or protagonist.
I can tolerate "super powers" used as a plot device like in the Knightfall saga, but otherwise no.
this is also why I hate Batman/whatever crossovers, and all the fan boys who fuel them, and the writers who perform fan service.

I've been looking into those Silent Hill comics.
Might be interesting to check out.

From what i've heard they're total bullshit along with any other SH media other than the first four games.

Yeah, kinda seems like they would be since the series just isn't the same without the original developers.
I just hope they don't completely fucking ruin the series for me, that's why I'm a bit uncertain whether or not I actually want to give them a shot..

Once again i've not read them but from what i've seen they're just completely all over the place, story wise. Can't do much harm seeing for yourself though.
I only follow Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Atomic Robo, and I don't buy them as they come out, I wait for the paperback collections that are released every few months.
I'm not reading anything at the moment but a few months ago I finished the Preacher series. It was fucking brilliant.

This unfortunately.
I'm on Book 3 of Y the Last Man and Book 15 of Wasteland.
Right now I'm reading Locke & Key . It's a great horror/suspense comic written by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son).
I have a Spawn comic in my room, but I just keep it around for nostalgic reasons. I haven't read it yet, but plan to at one point or another.
You should probably go fuck yourself.
"The Adventures of Johnny Bunko: The Last Career Guide You'll Ever Need." and believe it or not, it's for a college class.
I actually checked out a nifty book from my library a while ago. I'm still reading it and I love it:
Sig by Luis - AMA
Formerly PuddinN64 - Portal, BBS, Icon, and Chat Mod
"Your friends love you anyway" - Check out WhatTheDo & Guinea Something Good!

Depends on which series you're talking about. Now, most of them are absolute bullshit I wouldn't want to dirty my hands with, but there are some newer ones that have gotten good reception that I'm thinking of buying. I can't remember what they're called, but I think you'll be able to figure out which ones I mean.
Would Cirque du freak count as a comic? Just started reading it today
I'm (finally) reading The Walking Dead.

Manga is Japanese for comics
I still read comics. Not that often, but I still do it.
Recently acquired these two Battle Royales for $2.50 each at a closing down sale, so I've yet to start on them. Also I bought Le Gun 1 2 3 as a present to myself for being amazing in life.

I recently got into a series called CHEW, about a cop named Tony Chu who can get a psychic impression just from eating food. really good, and I reccommend it to any one who likes comics. its also got a lot of humor in it.
