Game in Progress!
The Mafia Game is a game that is played at parties or usually on the forums where there are two sides. The informed Mafia and the uninformed Townspeople. There are two phases which are day and night which events take place during both phases.

The goal of the game is to have your side win which I will explain.

I suggest you read the wiki article on it rules before playing just to have a good idea of what's going on and I'll provide short explanations of how this topic will run since the Mafia game can be played in many ways.

Rules
1. Any spoiling or revealing things you shouldn't reveal will result in either death in the game or being blocked for a few day and night phases.
2. Of course, respect each other. You can debate who the suspect is but don't go so far that you're causing some intense drama that you would see with 8 year olds.
3. There will be no switching of roles. You're assigned what you're assigned.
4. If you're killed, you cannot talk in this game anymore.
5. If a player dies that'll be when it's revealed of if he/she is a mafia or townie.

The Night Phase

During the night phase is where the townspeople are "asleep" and the mafia are awake. The mafia will know who's in the mafia group and then will decide who the victim will be for the night. A mafia member must then send a PM to the host with the name of their victim and their method of killing.

After that, I will inform the townspeople who have special roles to "wake up" for the night and do their thing and they too will send me a PM telling me what action they'll do based on their role.

The Day Phase

All the players are now awake at this time and a murder will be announced. Everyone who is playing will discuss who the suspect might be and when the chatting ends, voting session will begin where players may select who the suspect may be. The player with the most votes will then be hanged and no longer play the game.

You are not forced to vote to hang anyone if you don't want to unless certain things happen and you can always change your vote.

Winning

The game ends if the mafia outnumber the towns people or if the townspeople eliminate all the mafia members.

Special Roles

There are also special roles which certain townspeople will have and certain mafia members will have. In the link to the article, there are plenty of roles to choose from but in this topic, I've only selected a few start the mafia game with. Certain people will be assigned a role to have and must not reveal it to anyone.

The Body Guard
The bodyguard has the power to protect another player. If a mafia member has selected the protected player, the murder is not successful and no one dies. The bodyguard can only protect him or herself once. The bodyguard will win alongside the townspeople if they win.

The Mercenary
The mercenary is the person who can kill anyone he wants at night. But he only has a limited supply of 2 bullets to use and after that he can no longer kill. He will win with the side he is aligned with.

The Sheriff
The sheriff is the head of the elections of who to hang. He may break the tie if there is one and for every voting session, he has the ability to vote twice. His second vote or tiebreaker vote will be sent to me via PM just to hide his identity. He will win alongside the townspeople if they win.

The Lawyer
During the voting sessions, if a person is selected to be hanged and the lawyer has decided to work for that person then the lawyer can free that person from being hung for the day but cannot work for the same person twice in a row.

The Doctor
The doctor has a special ability to revive two dead players of his choice but one dead player per night. He will win alongside the townspeople if they win.

The Silencer
The dentist can make a player unable to talk after the dental appointment. The silenced player cannot talk for that day phase but can still do actions in their posts and still be able to vote. (Use the * symbols to indicate action. Example, *Raises hands frantically*). The silencer will win alongside whoever he is aligned with.

The Blocker
The blocker prevents actions of the selected user from happening during the night phase. He will win alongside whatever he is on.

The Angel(s)
Dead players can no longer talk but they can still sacrifice their soul to protect a player but once they have dedicated their souls, they can no longer play.

This actually sounds like a fun idea for a game, but unfortunately, since our mods are tight-asses they'll probably reinforce the stupid "No forum games" rule.

If they don't, I'm all for this.
