3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsOnce upon a time, there was a quite girl that I was attracted to. I spent a couple weeks coaxing her out of her protective shell to the point where we could talk about anything comfortably. She was really smart, and I liked her a lot. This didn't stop me from courting other girls at the same time, but I definitely liked her the best of the five.
Now, a couple of days ago, I asked her if she had a boy she liked. She said no, so I asked her out. She said, "I don't want to go out with you. You never considered the alternative." I said, "And what would that be?" She said, "That not a guy, but a girl, captures my attention."
Now, this shocked me for a moment or two. I never expected a really quiet girl to be gay. But of course I didn't consider the alternative. It would be jumping to conclusions if I said "You don't like a guy, you must be gay," right? I just assumed there was no one she liked at the moment.
I'm already over it, and we're going to stay friends. I've already talked to her about it. She likes a girl that goes to another school. The girl doesn't know, but she has liked her for two years. I don't want to interfere with that if my friend doesn't want to give up on her crush. There's plenty of other girls I can choose from.
Now, you can laugh at my incredible misfortune. I mean, what are the odds? It doesn't bother me that she's gay, it just bothers me that she could never like me. She's off limits. That's what angers me. There was never a chance for me to get with her, and there never will be, no matter how hard I try. So I won't try anymore.
Have you ever liked a gay person? Have you ever been rejected in a ridiculous way? Would you just like to laugh at my misfortune?
Discuss.

Nope not entirely, have befriended a few bisexual girls though if it counts.
I liked a straight girl who had no reason to reject me... I think I'd rather be told that the girl I liked is gay rather than be rejected for an unknown reason.

Witty posts galore.
OP is talking about one of his fingers on his jerking off hand.
*Good topic, man! :D*
I'm friends with a closet lesbian right now. There's nothing wrong with being "just friends" in scenarios like these. Having a romantic relationship with somebody is not only much more difficult to uphold than a normal friendship, but also somewhat grating on the lovers, thus allowing a normal, friendly relationship to be sorta relieving.
And you're right - you shouldn't automatically assume someone is lesbo just because they don't like you. That's just not logical.
i'm a girl, and had a relationship with a lesbian girl.
Had being the key term. I flipped my shit when she revealed it to me, as I've been to her house before, and decided to end the relationship, but...
I just hope I wasn't being too harsh on her.

Tough break, but it's good of you to remain friends afterwards.
I have gay friends but have never been attracted to them, mainly because they're guys.
Some people feel content to pour syrup on shit and call it pancakes their whole lives.

Pretend not to care about anything, but be bothered by everything.

All the gay girls I liked, turned straight and ended up dating me.
"Sorry, I'm gay" Classic rejection line! She is sucking tons of cock when you aren't looking, she just thinks you're an ugly piece of shit.
That sucks, man. Asking a girl out and finding out she's a lesbian.

If you were going out with her wouldn't that make it obvious that you're both lesbians? Or at least bi?
Seriously, who even reads these things anymore?
I don't think she's a lesbian at all, maybe just curious. It really depends on how old she is.If she's 14 or something, than she's definitely a little confused about her sexual orientation or doesn't really know what she wants.I'm sure she'll turn to man meat in no time.
Of course, is she's in her 20s, has experimented to the fullest and has her mind set on her sexual preference, than it's a good idea to just let it go and try to bang some other chick.Like you said, there are many girls to go around in this world

Why would you freak out if you found out she was a lesbian if you were in a relationship with her? Wouldn't that mean you are too? Or were you just talking about a friendly relationship? If you were both just friends I don't think you should have just ended the relationship. That is a bit harsh. She could have just liked you as a friend. Not every lesbian girl likes every girl they see. Same with gay guys.
Yea it has happened to me all the time, so many guys I've liked are "off limits" and there is no point in trying, no matter how attractive they might be.

That sucks. Maybe the other girls aren't lesbians. If they are, welp, that's your problem.
also bump this thread if they are
you assumed she couldn't be a lesbian... because she was quiet?......
XD
you really need to step outside of your stereotypical perspective.
I actually prefer to be friends with lesbian girls. It's kind of like how girls find it more comfortable to be friends with gay guys.

No, this girl doesn't really lie. We've already discussed secrets between each other and this might as well be just another secret. Why do we discuss secrets with each other? "Because there's no reason for betrayal," we have agreed.

I said I assumed she wasn't a lesbian because it would be jumping to conclusions to say, "You don't like anyone, you must be gay." If anything, I assumed she just didn't like anyone because she was quiet and antisocial.

She is 14, but she has said she's liked this one girl since 7th grade. We're in 9th grade now. She's had plenty of time to get over this crush if she discovered she really did like boys. If she was unsure about her sexual orientation, she would tell me. "Because there's no reason for betrayal."

I guess it can be reassuring in a way when you know there will never be anything sexual between you? You are like "bros".

She also revealed that she had a crush on me in that way. I did not approve of this and, thus, blocked her romantic endeavors with fervor.
