Same story but with a bird and my brother killed it with a water hose by spraying it with water until it had no feathers and its other wing was broken. I think I was 6 and he was 8.

Nobody cares as much about humans because for the most part we can defend ourselves, and all soldiers know the risks of engaging in a war and decided to go there anyway.
Also, video games aren't real, and everybody (almost) loves dogs, they are man's best friend.

And also, this morning Black Cat (My neighbor's cat that I have to feed because they don't) , caught a mouse and I didn't get it in time... I can't blame the cat though, it's just in his nature.

You rescued a helpless creature who was going to be a snack to a hungry cat. What is not to respect?

There is that old saying about how you should judge someone based on how they treat those below them, not how they treat their equals.

More people should do more to aid animals. Not just brush them aside because we're humans and automatically better.

That was a very noble move from you, Nentindo. However, since I live in a flat, my cat Felix was never able to get near a mouse, but he used the balcony to watch out for birds; and what can I say, he was a quite succesful hunter, when we consider that his "hunting area" was rather limited, size-wise. He caught 4 birds in his lifetime and proudly played with them.

I haven't heard that one before, but if I did judge everyone based on that, only one or two people would be judged as nice.

Most people I know, when they see a spider or another "vicious, scary, evil animal" straight away they kill it. I just don't know why some people can't accept something different to them.

And I've concluded, with the help of my Pocket Guide To The Wildlife Of Britain And Europe he is a house mouse, although he has a slightly darker tail than normal, but that could just be because he's so young.

Wait, so your cat caught birds from a balcony? That's quite an impressive feat. And did you name him after the cat food?

I used to have mice. They were nice for however long they lasted.

And that was very kind of you to do so. I take kindly to domesticated mice (the pure white and black kind you can get a Petco) but I wouldn't stop my cats if they were going to attack a vermin RAT or house mouse since I do not have the room to care for it and it is pest. So, congrats for being kind hearted under all circumstances.

Yes, he caught that from the balcony, somehow. They sometimes landed on a table, and I think that was the moment where he used his chance to get them with his paws. Still, it is indeed very impressive. And no, I didn't name him after the cat food, he already had that name, when my parents got him from the animal home.

I'll probably release him eventually, unless he becomes more calm and more like a pet mouse, but I doubt that. I'll see how it goes.

And you upset my dog, he overdosed!

Congrats on saving your mouse! He's very cute. :] I saved a mouse some years ago from some kittens who decided to play "mouse hockey" with him. I felt weirdly attached to him, so I kept him as a pet. Looking back, I wish I had taken better care of him, but hey, I was young and I did my best.

More recently, we've had some mouse troubles in our pantry, so we've been putting out some sticky traps to catch them. I do my best to release them if I find them in time, and last month we caught this very tiny baby mouse that my boyfriend decided he wanted to keep. He went out and bought $70 worth of gear for the little guy. Yes, $70 worth. >:[

If you plan on keeping him in the long run, you should get him a nice little plastic wheel (wire might hurt his feet) to run on. That should keep him a little less restless. You should also give him something to gnaw on, like those little wooden sticks you can get for gerbils and rabbits. Apparently pine and cedar chips are bad for their health, but aspen bedding is good. They like a good few inches of it so they can burrow in it, and throw a napkin in there while you're at it because they like to chew it up and make a little nest out of it. If you release the little fellow, take him something over a mile away from your house, or else he might just come back and get into the same trouble you saved him from in the first place.

Not sure how much of that you knew already, but figured it would be worth mentioning anyway. Good luck with the little guy! :]
