This site is an amazing place for animators, artists, musicians, voice actors, writers, programmers and even more, to share their works with others for the benefit of praise, constructive criticism, and an experience to work with others to creative amazing things.
If you can animate, draw, make music, play an instrument, speak with different voices, write, or know code then chances are you can fit in here and show what you have created to people that you don't know and will probably never meet in person. They could be from a different country entirely, with different rules, boundaries, and way of doing things. Yet we all connect here.
The only question is this, what does the average Newgrounds fan do? I'll admit that I was just an average Newgrounds fan until I found a way to contribute to this site. At first I made myself a critic working on making my reviews better and I still do to this day. Then I started something on here called The Interviewer. After doing this for so long I realized why I truly do love this site, it's not just a time killer it is filled with many creative people just waiting to spread their wings.
I tend to get asked to interview different regular members of Newgrounds, you're average everyday regular member. Which is fine, nothing wrong with that, but why are they just the average member? Why haven't they branched out?
So I pose this question. What do you do here on Newgrounds? Have you ever ventured far out of the General forum? Besides the Video Game and Politics forums? You would be amazed at what you can not only find, but you might be surprised at how you may even be able to help.

This thread needs attention.
I'm your average Newgrounds user. No more, no less. I post one liners and memes as responses in general and don't have a memorable signature. I rarely browse anything other than general. My sense of dark humor and snappy attitude reflect that of most NG BBS browsers. It's all the usual, except for the fact that I'm a girl. That fact seems to attract people to post on my newspost, but whatever, that's not very relevant to the thread.
I actually plan on doing some quality music reviews or upload some of my own surprisingly heavy stuff in the near future. I surf the Flash portal once in a while too, but never have deposited points or earned medals, an oddity I would like to keep that way, and occasionally do fiddle with interesting submissions.
That pretty much sums it up. Tl;DR: Your average NG user in most aspects.

I post a lot and draw a lot of art.
Far as I see it, the BBS is both the most stupid and most entertaining part of the site. That, combined with my ability to submit mediocre drawings to the Art Portal makes comic here very worthwhile. But I'd seriously just be happy with the BBS.
Shit's fun.

Your art does not seem mediocre to me kind sir. You also seem to enjoy the Art Forum as well. Ever thought about possibly teaming up with an animator?

I make flash and advance the Clock Crew's mad schemes for portal dominance.
I've been better about making a pass at the recent submissions page, I've never been terribly concerned with gaining levels or ranks or whistle points but generally I vote 5 on one extraordinary flash masterpiece unequalled throughout the annals of time and then that reminds me to also watch, vote on, and review other things.

Oh, no. It really is terrible to anyone with an eye for digital art. You may not have viewed enough art (it takes time to become a snobby connoisseur) but mine really is muck dragged from the slimepool of talent.
Thats not to say that there isn't a lot of worse, much worse stuff out there. It's just pathetic for someone who hopes to go professional one day.
Anyway, as for teaming up for anyone - and I already failed this with Narcissy - there's a reason I've been coined Mr. Moronically Unreliable by my friends. I'm afraid of letting them down, over and over and over.

Fixed the shit out of that. Literally. The BBS is one of the best, most diverse, most laughably stupid forums I've ever come across, and thus spend the vast majority of my time on Newgrounds here. I mean, how can you not like the extremely varied slew that is your average day on the BBS?
I do post the usual replies you'd expect from the userbase, if with a bit more class and length sometimes when I feel particularly strongly about something. There's no strict set of personal rules I abide by when I post, save for a resident goofiness that is the usual BBS fare.
I also upload "quality" tracks to Newgrounds when i feel like it. It's really a matter of opinion if they're good or not, but I considering them worthy of sharing and thus post them, practically my only real "contribution" to Newgrounds outside of the forums. And that sums it uuuuup.

Well, I am a truly mediocre/average Newgrounds user and have nothing to offer, when I am honest. I can't make flashes, music or art, so I can't add new stuff to Newgrounds. My posts are also not good and have no positive effect for the forums. The only thing that I do is flagging reviews, and there is my true potential, I think my Deity Whistle speaks for me in that case.
Without truth, there is no justice.

Really? Last time I checked you interviewed the regular Newgrounds members. You also do a little art of your own.

I really just come here to post in General and VG, which I guess in a way seems kind of silly, seeing as this is a creative website and I just come here to post. I guess I just like the community, odd as that may sound to some.
I have made some attempts at art, but I just listed them as sketches or whatever. It's nothing fancy but I stuck them on my profile page anyway. I have also considered perhaps learning Action Script, seeing as I do study Computer Science have have programmed in several languages already, but I guess I just lack the free time once I'm back at uni to properly learn it. Still, I guess at some point I'd still be interested in trying to do some games programming.

What's with people thinking you must "contribute" in order to be here? I am here because I choose to.

That is great to, but if there is something you can do to contribute to the site why not? Being a fan and loving the site is still wonderful though.

Then post a bit more frequently. I've honestly never noticed you around here before, and you seem the sort that can, and gladly will, scold terribad users and posters - something that needs to happen more often around here.

Screw around I guess.
By posting, and bping. Thats about it really. It's not exciting or a real contribute to Newgrounds but I get a fair bit of enjoyment from it all and thats why I joined and thats why I'm here still.

Hey look, it's Rivergrey's rule 63.
In all seriousness, I like people who can vary the things they post. Granted, they're nowhere near as memorable as perma-trolls like Boss or Sevkat, or even the memetically nice peeps like FatKidWithAJetpack and Asandir, but there's a certain charm about not abiding to any rules when you post.
I've got a lot more respect for these sort of people versus those others who can only make a name for themselves through strictly abiding to one specific character archetype. They're not nearly as predictable, that's for sure.

I make expressive music with the intention of it being, not just emotionally inspiring, but thought provoking. My music is art and I post it here on Newgrounds because NGers appreciate it and give me their input. I also post it here in the hopes of it being used in movies or games, because you never know whether that song you made is exactly what someone was looking for.
I also voice act, but I always put my music first so I tend to drop out of VAing projects.
I post on the forums as well, obviously.

I'd like to think our user pages would speak for themselves as they're where our contributions are displayed.
Lately I've just been lurking the forums and various Portal's kinda keeping quiet.. In the past Newgrounds has motivated me to do things I otherwise never would have tried. A long time ago Tom said to just try Flash, and that it wasn't that hard, and he was right. The thing is, once I learned how much of this was done the magic of other peoples work kinda went away a little.
Hopefully some of you newcomers will find inspirational people inside the community to look up to - and hopefully they'll inspire you to explore your inner-creativity much like Tom did for me in the past. The thing that's cool about a site like this is there's so much potential inside of it. There's something for everyone.
So yep. I just kinda have a been there, done that, type of attitude at this point. I will admit I used to be much more enthusiastic about the community - now I don't care so much how things turn out. :P

Yes, but be honest. How many people actually tend to visit someone else's user page? But you are right though. More and more creativity should thrive here and those who come to see it want to do something, anything, to contribute towards this site and it's always nice to have that welcoming word of encouragement.
