Workin' on this thing now... Something feels very slightly off about the foreshortening. Also can anyone tell me how to make a good texture brush for highlighting scales? I ended up doing some texture highlights on the frog, but it would be a lot more work on this croc because there's more surface area to cover and its scales are a higher resolution.

I feel like I need darker shadows, too, but I'd appreciate some input on that.

Gave up on the croc for now, I just don't feel like doing that much detail with the scales. Maybe I'll come back to it when I finish this:

OH, and I found this laying around, so as a bonus, have an ANCIENT acrylic painting of Rocko. HOLY CRAP THIS IS SO OLD

Yeah man, it made a lot of sense to me and I really like the painterly look that I can get out of it. Thanks a lot for sending me that way :P

Hey I drew another thing, but only because I'm supposed to be working on something else. Somehow I can only ever be productive while procrastinating... Quite the paradox...

Been playing Skyrim. It's a great game, despite some of the (occasionally frustrating) glitches here and there. I hope this image doesn't somehow come as a spoiler to anyone who's still playing through the main quest line.

Still getting practice with that painting method... Because of that, this took an EXTREMELY long time to do. I'd put it at maybe 3 or 4 hours. I hope I can just blame not being accustomed to the workflow, because this should have taken like 45 minutes, looking at it now.

DrFox, it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 15 hours, depending on how focused on the piece I am or how much detail I want to implement, or the medium I'm using or what style I want to focus on.

Here's a background for a flash I might work on some more if I find the time; I figured I'd post it here because I almost never draw actual environments.

Ramatsu, I'm not really sure where I'm going with the flash, honestly, I just have some bits and pieces I might throw together at some point. Story-wise there's nothing so far. Thanks for the comment, though!

Been playing Doodle or Die, drew this there... Tools are limited to a few set brush sizes, all round, and only like 14 total colors to choose from. Nice challenge I think.

WOW it's been almost a year since I've drawn ANYTHING AT ALL.
Obviously that means I haven't improved in any way shape or form in the past 10 months.
Why I decided "HEY I WANT TO DRAW SOMETHING IN MS PAINT" I'll never know, but it looks like I can kiss my entire weekend goodbye.

Took a break, played some video games, about to get back to work on this thing.

I can't wait until I put in a background and have to redo everything to render the lighting correctly.

I already have to redo the nose.
