I really don't like making eye contact with people I don't feel comfortable around. It just freaks me out way too much.

I remember reading that women toend to do it a lot more than guys.

I usually don't, but I catch myself doing so and force eye contact.

I dont like people staring at me when they talk, or me staring at them. But its polite to look at them a little.

Huh? I've never had a problem with that. Especially with my friends. Maybe I wanna look at your baby blues for a bit while I'm talking to you.

I don't really pay attention if im talking to dudes, but when i'm conversing with a chick, I always look staight into their eyes, most of them like it and it keeps my eyes from wandering south

The solution, if you are in a casual environment, is to defocus your eyes the slightest bit, and look at their face as a whole, as opposed to their eyes. In business, of course, it is impermissible to look beyond the bridge of the nose, but in a flirtatious environment feel free to look wherever you please.

I used to look down while I was walking and away when people talked to me until about seventh grade, when my parents/relatives started realizing it and would constantly remind me to make eye contact until it was a habit.

I'm not entirely sure of what, if anything, has happened as a result of that yet.

I look into people's eyes while i talk to them/they talk to me but not all the time,because it seems rude
