Hi I got a two art on the art portal that never been scouted for months. I just submitted two more, here is what I think the best: http://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/rosed ragoness/her-choice and I don't want them sunk into oblivion. Would like some advices too, about using newgrounds for art showcase and my art.

Thank you.

Broken Valley is your best piece. Keep up the hard work, and hang around, be social. Requesting to be scouted will get you a wrist slap, so expect that to be coming.

Keep up the landscapes, paint back to front, plan your image and know what you want your focus to be. Good stuff, keep it up and you'll be scouted when the time comes. :P I dig through unscouted stuff all the time looking for diamonds in the rough.

Stay cool and good luck!

Here's a scouting guide written by Ornery that everyone is given when they create a "Scout me " thread (sometimes followed by the locking of the thread, or it just dies when there's nothing left to say).
In short:
- You must have a minimum of 4 works submitted to the Art Portal before you can be considered for scouting. It is speculated that asking to be scouted decreases your chances of actually being scouted.
- Mods can remove your status as being scouted if they feel your work is not up to quality standards
- make a personal art thread that allows others in the art forums to critique your work. Also keep adding to your art portal submissions, people already scouted see a list of potential candidates for scouting that is based on who is eligible and has recently contributed to the site.

Don't be asking for it, I've been here for about a year or so and I haven't been scouted, though, it may be 'cause I can't scan a certain image or 'cause I'm not very good. But, Hang in there! SOMEONE WILL FIND YOU, Seriously! So, just Chill, relax and keep the Trolls at bay.

yeah man sure, here's that scout you were looking for!

no but in all seriousness, you have actually LOWERED your chances of getting scouted. Don't ask, just play the waiting game and ride it out until someone finds you :)
