I had to cut and tweak about 30 seconds out ... I hope your all like it. It was super stressful, but extremely rewarding.

I appreciate the support, but honestly, there was a ton of talent all around. Plenty of different stories and different types of voices.
Just completing my entry was a reward in of itself. If I place, I'll be happy.
A super last minute entry!

Something mildly experimental :)
Horror ambiance was crafted via my voice as well. All monster groans, screams etc. are also my voice.
Posted on my other account because I was banned from the audio portal when I was 13 on this account.

You think you're evil ... I've got some cheesey Swedish Ass ninjas just waiting to strike.
Hey I reviewed all of the submissions now everyone has to review mine! YEAH!
So when do all the cool animators make animations of everyones voice files animation animations?
When everyone gets the front page for being awesome?

I personally believe vocal range should mean what you can pull off using your voice alone without the aid of computers, so that is my reasoning; however, I have no problem with vocal effects such as reverb and whatnot as long as I can hear your voice clearly enough to be able to judge it fairly.
Anywayyy on a lighter note, I cant wait to start judging these entries and hear a few of the future ones that come in by tomorrow!
I'd been working my way through post production before I'd seen this.
While I did nothing dramatic, I'll admit I dropped my voice a semi-tone because it rang with the flanger and chorus a touch better and gave an additive little warmth within the overall effect. I also used a wide variety of filters on quite a few different voices to generate the horror ambiance I used to make it more homely and voice-acting like. Am I going to be disqualified because a few of my voices (There are a lot in there x_x) Don't sound human? I used my voice to generate Silent Hill-esque monster noises. :\
Finished!

The Last Joke - by Ghetto Lee Lewis
It's a sort of movie trailer, starring Kanye West, a crazy old guy who sounds like Gandalf/Sean Connery, some random doctor, a Southern narrator (lol, Charlotte's Web), and a pirate scientist.
Enjoy!
Definitely not gonna make it in time, despite busting my ass all day. I could do some reviews though, if anyone's interested. After I DO get it done, I'll also link the finished product to anyone who asks.
GOOD LUCK, ALL! :)

Thanks for getting my submission in for me!
Grungy Mech action in 1940s Russia! Read Iron and Ice!
@RicePirate: You wouldn't dare unleash that kind of power...
@SeiyruRenaih: That would be awesome if that happened! Hopefully we can all get the word out to animators.
@rabidsquirl: You won't be DQ'd since I didn't put it in the rules originally. However, we decided that it will dock points in your range category.
@Solrac: You win the award for most last minute!
@psychoit21: your submission still isn't up. What time exactly did you submit yours? if it was in the portal by 11:59 EST I'm willing to add it in. Just ask DrewDryDen to submit it for you temporarily until it gets approved. Do this ASAP though because these need to get judged.
With all that said, the contest is officially closed and judging will commence! Judges will be expected to have results sent to me by October 17th! Otherwise, it won't count.

You need to accept phcohit71's entry. He may be new, but he's better than all of us.

Technically, the entries that have not passed judgment should not count. That is what the rules said, and that is why some of the contestants went to the trouble of getting someone else to submit it, or just completed their project quickly in general. I don't think it would be fair that some people get to break the rules. (I believe this would apply to ghettoleelewis and psychohit71)

But if the judges do accept it, (and the submissions don't overly extend the judging time) they should probably take some points off!
With a quick glance at the rules it seems to me that if the submission hit the portal before 11:59 it could still be considered for judging do to the fact that the rules say nothing about it being posted to the forum before then. If phychohit71 can get me his submission in a timely manner so I can post it for him I see no reason why he shouldn't be considered with everyone else.
Please other judges weigh in on this
No one pays ME in gum...
Thats what I told him. If it was in the portal by 11:59 and gets it to you soon, so we have time to judge it, then it's fine. If not then it won't count. And if anyone wasnt able to meet the deadline, but would still like a critique, just let me know.
And one thing on critiques: please respect the judges reviews. We are all giving constructive criticism and are by no means making personal attacks or favoring people. We are trying to help you grow as a voice actor. This hasnt been an issue the past couple of contests, but I figured I would say something just in case.
Will the judges post reviews in this thread or on the actual submissions?

In past contest I have seen that they put the critiques as a review on the actual submission, but still announce the scores/winners and what not in the forum. I assume that is the way they will do it this time as well.

I doubt that, but thanks for the kind words!

I will attempt to post one large review with everyone's scores in the audio portal. Hoever, we have 5 judges this year, so it might be too big and I will then post them here. Winners will be posted in thsi thread, however.
All I have to say to the contestants is...
prepare to be judged
As for the judge scores jinsha.. why don't we individually post our scores in our reviews? (if we've previously reviewed the submission you can place it then.)
your call though, just making suggestions
You're more than welcome to post your own review. I'm just going to add them in for a final score.
And here is psychohit71's submission
