4.04 / 5.00 50,421 ViewsI laughed, I cried, I vomited, and I was riveted to my seat the entire time. I was with this movie all the way, engaged in every plot twist, piece of dialogue, and rousing, emotional scene. I would not change a single thing about ...this masterpiece, other than the fact that it could have gone on for another ten hours and I would have probably loved it even more. Assigning this movie a score is pointless, for this is The Room, and it transcends numbers. If I had to give it some sort of ranking, I'd say it is 6 successful football catches out of 5. That may be an improper fraction, but The Room is improperly amazing, and thus no other score is suitable for it. I would like to thank writer-director-actor-everything else Tommy Wiseau for importing the $6 million worth of Korean leather jackets required to finance this movie. It was worth it. The Room is cinematic perfection at its highest level, and viewing it will change the way you see movies forever.
I haven't seen it, but since you recommend it with passion, I should watch it.

A review even giving sarcastic praise for The Room makes me want to vomit.

This movie is so good that it deserves at least as much passion as I put into that paragraph. For example, look at this scene in the flower shop. You can feel the emotion coming from Wisseau as he confronts the store clerk, and you can subsequently feel her confusion at not immediatly recognizing him. Even the dog is perfect.
OH I GET IT! HE'S GIVING US A GOOD REVIEW OF THE MOVIE, EVEN THOUGH IT'S GENERALLY ACCEPTED AS BAD!
You sir, are the height of comedy, and your sarcasm has brought tears of laughter to my eyes, and I'm sure the eyes of everyone who reads this. You should have your own show.

I hate to side with Rummy on this one, but he's right, The Room is a tired, old joke that's worn out what ever comedy it had to begin with.

I wasn't aware an entire year could call you
I finally saw it on my birthday, because I knew it'd be the Adult Swim April Fool's Joke.
And now... I'm disappointed. The clips on the internet were funny. The movie was not.
Life is a performance, and the world is full of critics. Give it your all like it's your last show.
Stuff you don't care about

Damn, it came out that long ago?

But the movie is actually pretty good.

Pretty sure it came out in 2003 to be honest... and then sat around on the shelf collecting dust because it was a piece of shit movie to begin with, then the internet found it an made it popular, but its still a shitty movie.
Nevertheless, I own this movie and view it more frequently than any other movie.
Other piece of shit movies I love:
Rocky horror
Dark star
Army of darkness
Transformers(the old animated one)
I prolly stepped on some toes with that list.

For a few laughs? That's actually debatable. The soundtrack? Pretty good. I'm guessing that a lot of the 6 million went to that.
If you haven't yet recognized the OP's sarcasm, read the post again. It's quite difficult to miss.

Heads or tails?
After about the 8th panning stock footage shot of the golden gate bridge it gets a little repetitive. That, however, does not erase the fact that Tommy Wiseau is a genius and an engaging public speaker. Having met the man, I can say he had a bit of a pungent odor to him, and barely speaks intelligible english.
Puddin'?
