Im told their are different types of blood like positive and negative but I dont really know wether putting in a wrong type of blood into someone would be good or bad. Im told you should either put in the type of blood he has or a special kind of blood certain individuals have which will work with anyone. But lets say in order too keep the person alive, would any blood type do. Like I dunno if putting the wrong type of blood into someone would make them ill or fuck with their body a bit but if it keeps them alive then thats fine.

You can die if you put in certain blood types in certain people.

Pretty much because their body's blood can't handle the new blood type being put in them. I think either AB or O were the ones able to accept any type though.
If you're not sure what to do, call 911. Only safe thing. Then use a towel or the like to apply pressure to the wound until someone who knows what they're doing gets there.

You were told correctly. Putting in the wrong type would cause a probably fatal reaction. The only blood type that can be used on just anyone is O Negative, which has none of the factors which a body could react badly to.
Since the person in the street could not judge whether someone would die without blood trasfusion, but we KNOW that putting the wrong blood in is deadly, we wouldn't. I am a blood donor and I know quite a bit about this subject, but of course, if you need to know about this for serious medical reasons you need to do proper research.
Anyone really interested in this subject- PM me as I am planning to create a Newgrounds quiz about blood donation.
If the Donor blood is O (positive or negative), you can use it practically with anyone.

Yes there are different types of blood! There are little things on your red blood cells called "antigens," they help your immune system tell that these are your blood cells and they belong here and not to attack them!
There are 4 types of antigen: A, B, AB, and O
There can also be antibodies present in your blood, which is what the + and - come from. If you have + type blood then those antibodies are present in your blood stream.
A type blood can have A-, A+, and O- type blood
B type blood can have B+, B-, and O- type blood
AB type blood can take any type of blood
O type blood can only have type O blood
However type O- blood can be given to ANYONE so it is very important that if you have either O+ or O- that you donate your blood as much as possible! If someone who has B type blood gets A type blood than that person can die from a process called agglutination. This happens when the bloodstream attacks the foreign blood, and can cause clots and death. It is very important that you know your blood type, so this does not happen!
A bit off topic, but sort of related...
There is also a thing called an R.H. Factor for mothers. It's where the child has a non-compatiable blood type with the mother... and the mothers white blood cells thing the babies blood cells are bad and try to kill it.
Or something like that. I was an RH Factor (or my mother was) so you think I would know more about it... but I totally don't because... fuck you.

the recepient (who needs blood transfusion) will develop immulogical reactions if he receives the wrong type of blood. the person will experience fever. receiving the wrong type of blood might also cause internal bleeding, which is life threatening if pressure accumulates within the skull.
as far as i know, the reaction is the most severe if the blood types A and B are mixed up.
I am just a random user from a set of measure zero and thus am negligible.

I should write that down somewhere
Thanks for the information

The same is rule applies to the reattachment of severed limbs. They always try to use your limbs because it's the same blood type and such. If they use some other guy's finger or arm or whatever it is you're missing, there's a chance your body will reject the new limb. It's not a pretty sight. I think it's still possible a transplant limb will still be rejected even if it's the same blood type as the recipient. can someone confirm?
My blood type is O+ and that is the best blood type out there.... BASTARDS AREN'T GETTING MY BLOOD
I've no idea what my blood type is. Knowing me it's probably a rare one.

My blood type is AB+. It's pretty rare, which means I'm screwed if I need a transfusion. I'm pretty careful though, so I shouldn't have to worry about that.
To summarise, anyone can accept O (hence why O is called Universal Donors), only As and ABs can accept A (same with B - only B and AB can accept B). Everyone can accept Negatives, but Negatives can't accept Positives.
In short anyone can accept O-
If you happened to be carrying all of the equipment needed for a blood transfusion, then you could possibly give blood, assuming that you happened to have the right type. Make sure to check their blood type first. Usually, you would let the doctors do the transfusion stuff though, seeing as most people aren't a walking bloodbank with knowledge of medical procedures, and sterile equipment.
Maybe you should take some first aid classes instead?

How are you planning on giving them blood in the first place? O.o
At any rate, if you mismatch blood types, they can have a severe reaction that results in death. The receiving body will destroy the donated blood cells, resulting in a cascading torrent of fuckery that will cause more problems than you had before.
A better option would be to give them fluids, like regular saline, or Ringers solution, something like that.
The best option would be to stop tooling around and call the ambulance
Anybody can receive my blood, but the downside is that I can only receive a small percentage of blood.

NO . definately NO. Your blood does not contain the factors that can trouble other people, but their blood contains the factors that you would react to.
I gave blood just the other week, and they gave me a little card for the trouble, with my blood type on it, etc.
Your blood is especially valueable since anyone can use it. Please do continue to give blood.
And actually, I think A+ or some other rare type of blood would still not go well with my own blood, IIRC.

O means you can give blood to everyone, not take from everyone. That's AB's job.

Well, if you're at the scene and there are no paramedics, there's no way for you to get the blood into his system anyway. if they take him to the ICU or something like that, they'll know what blood he/she needs, and they'll probably have it. There's a huge risk in giving another blood type to a person. Can easily kill her.
I'm back, I guess.
