You don't care about mine, so go ahead, share the story of your username. If it applies, that means the digits too.

No BS about "oh I just randomly thought of it" either.
Actually, I take that back, if that's your story, I'd rather hear a BS story. Make one up and make it good.

When I was 12 at school we had to write a letter from the point of view of someone involved with the Second World War, and give it an Eastern-European-sounding name. The guy next to me signed his as Yurgen Burgen and I thought it was funny so I stole it from him.

That's actually really cool.

I just combined two things I like into one word cause i'm a loser like that.

Also, I have a strange sense of deja vu that this thread has been done a million times over the years.

It isn't.

I was thinking "oh wow, an alien sounding thing would be so fucking cool"

and i've used it for so long now that changing it would just be too confusing.

I am half pterodactyl, half man. Seeing as I am only half pterodactyl, I only use approximately half of the name.

The more you know.

The nickname Gags was given to me when I was about 7 years old by a friend of the family. I can't remember the reason why - except that it wasn't actually involving sexual abuse - and the name has kinda stuck with me through all these years. There are a dozen or so more people in my life who still call me Gags or Gagsy. So I just thought I'd use it as my online name too.

Mine is an inside joke within my circle of friends. Back in Middle School, we would compare famous logos that have skulls in them (i.e. the Punisher logo, The Jolly Roger...etc.) and determine which one has more killability. It was indeed quitesilly, but it was also quite fun to see where our imaginations would take us.

My username used to be 61 when I first signed up, which I don't think many people know about. I got it changed because well, it was terrible.

My username now is now my first name.

My original username was Wilber7. It was that way for a while. Before the redesign though, Wade announced a username lock down which meant you would no longer be able to manually change your username (yes kids, we used to have that power).

Reason for the lock down was because people were changing their usernames and causing confusion on who was who. (Thanks again staff members for changing usernames like crazy, really helps keep track of everyone).

So I picked The-Great-One out of sheer fun and because I couldn't think of anything else.

Also, because I used to go by SquirrelKing, which has it's own story, but I got tired of it because it's a stupid stupid name.
So I was signing up for some game and I didn't have enough room to put in Squirrelking, and I figured it was a shitty name anyway and that was a good time to think of a new one, so I backspaced to "Squi" and then thought, "Huh, I could go with Squid something"
I was gonna use Squidbite after that, but the e didn't fit so I just left it at Squidbit.

I like it.

One day in Spanish class I came across a word that has two meanings. "Myself" and "the same as", so I thought it was kind of funny to "be myself, but at the same time also being the same as everything else".

Also mostly I thought it sounded fun and unique, because hey "Mismo", it gotta be one of the most unique usernames on this site.
