What score have you made on the ACT?
For those who don't know it is a test many Americans have to take for college. Most colleges demand a certain score for entry and having a higher score enables you to get scholarships more easily. The test is scored out of 36 but nobody ever gets that. If you do you basically get an education at any college you want for free.
I took it once in 10th grade and I already made a 23. A good score (not amazing) but considering the two major colleges in my state require an 18 and 19 respectively I could get in already with that score.
My mom made a 28... 29 gets you into fucking Mensa.
For I am and forever shall be... a master ruseman.

Fuck that shit. My school, which is already thousands of dollars in debt, paid for an ACT practice program with money that doesn't exist and nobody even tries on the practice quizzes.
My projected score is a 28, but that's bullshit. I'm not going to study at all for it and see how I do.

A 23 is pretty good. I took it in 11th grade and I got a 26. It didn't even matter though since the universities I chose mainly wanted my SAT scores.

I wish there was some sort of system in Canada that just straight up said, "you're either dumber or smarter than this person".

Canada doesn't have universal tests that colleges look at?

I made a 28 but I did horrible on math!!! I took it 3 times, just trying to get my math up, so I wouldn't have to take re medials in college. I never could.
I kept making a 19 or 20 on math, then like a 31 and 33 on the English and reading parts.
So I clepped out of my sophomore and freshman English classes.
I started college in a 3000 level English class, but with a non credit remedial math. Not awesome.

I got a 32 back in the day - don't know if the test is any harder or easier these days.
Of course, I was selecting among East Coast schools, so my SAT was way more important than my ACT scores.
I'm so glad I went through the SAT process before they added that essay nonsense.

Copy pasted from other thread.
All throughout my years we had teachers come in and give advice and tips for the ACT. One specific teacher came and told us about the science portion and tips on it. They told us to completely ignore all of the passages because they only put them there to waste our time. They told us to only look at the graphs. Well, when the time actually came to take the ACT, I absolutely bombed the science portion because it turns out that you DID need to read the passages. Hurt my score.
I think I got like a 24 or something.

I think it was shit on a shingle.
I can't believe you found something more annoying that Scorpion.
Also I got a 26

Awwright Timmy! 32 club in the house! Of course, my 32 is way cooler than your 32.

Really? I thought every country would have some sort of standardized test or something. So do you just get into college based on your application and grades?

If the max was still 36 then your 32 was really good. I don't think the test changes that much from year to year but I could be wrong.
I thought East Coast schools focused more on the ACT. The universities in California don't even care about the ACT and they require the SAT. Does that mean no one cares about the ACT? :p

I got a 30, but my math score was lower than what most colleges require for automatic admission.

I got a 27 on the ACT both times I took it. That was enough to get me into the college I wanted to get into, though.

Well, at first the ACT was the child of more liberal-art type schools. It's only been accepted by all as almost equal to the SAT recently, as in late 2000s IIRC. Timmy is old, so he took it when the SAT was still big man on campus. A lot of more prestigious schools still prefer the SAT, however.

Yep. Well there is the Grade 10 literacy test, but it's extremely easy and it's basically a "you passed or you didn't" kind of thing.
