Okay, so we have until 11:59 PM Wed Sept 7th right? If not, then there's no way I can whip up a song in 8 hours.....

You've had more than two weeks to whip up a song.

Isn't this a death match? Why are people always sad about not having enough time to compose? Personally, I see it as a sign of weakness. Survival of the fittest >:C
Would you drink your own piss? If you answered "no" then you clearly don't belong in this tournament.

Actually, chron would drink his own piss, why the fuck isn't he in this competition?
I think brokendeck automatically loses to chron this round :/

Alright so i'm sorry for being so late on this. But it is the deadline. But there is some leniency. If you're currently working on a song, try to get it finished by 11:59 est tonight. I am currently working as temporary moderator of this (or not mod just the person helping keep it moving lol). I'm going to PM all of the judges and split up the songs between the back-ups.
So far what i've heard is good guys, this will be a good round. And to those who are almost done, or can't finish. At least post something so that we can nag you for not finishing :P

EW takes up about 700-800gb, rest is out of NI and 8dio products(I have basically all of them). Also my samples that I had to transfer to the new comp take up about 50gb. So really it's more then 700gb, but 700gb is what I have left to install so that I can actually open this hell of a project up and export without glitches

keep in mind i have diamond versions so that means 4-5 times the size for each pack because of different mic positions.
also lost hope? did you mean gained hope? I think its awesome that people took the time to record every articulation and velocity with multiple mics and wrote up scripts for playstyle interpretation...maybe thats just me

1 or 2 composition jobs pays for most of that software that contributes to my future career.
See I'd rather not rob software engineers and I'd rather not be cheap and lazy. That's just me.

Alrighty you guys got even more extra time, so it is over now. Submissions will not be accepted from this point on. Hopefully the will see the newest songs posted, but i'll make sure they are updated on it. If there is however a good reason for your extra lateness, i might think about it

I just think the software is expensive. I never personally insulted you or accused you of things I had no evidence for. Don't fucking be insulting please. I bust my balls as much as the next guy. I just don't have the luxury of doing these "jobs" that you do, alright? Is that okay with you? Or is that too cheap and lazy of me?

I never said anything about you, although I did make fun of your style of making a point in this situation. I was speaking about the general attitude a lot of producers have. But if you feel insulted feel free to PM me to clear that up. No need to derail thread.

Nah man don't get me wrong , It's really amazing how all these people dedicate to this amazing instrument probably taking years to make this.
What i meant with " i lost hope in humanity" it's because of the huge size you need to run it, pretty much doomsday for my hard drive and all hope is lost for it hehe but i know i will eventually be able to get a monster of software as EWQL.

In 2 years 700gb will be small. We're talking standard 4tb hdd's in desktops by then.

yeah that's what im waiting for , i remember back in the old days how 1gb was just a nightmare for old computers. But things will change through out time and someone will manage to make a hard drive of higher capacity and a reasonable price.
But until then , i will start saving money to gather up some nice gear.
