Mega Miner medals didn't unlock

I have finished Mega miner completely only to discover that four of the gem medals and the treasure medal didnt unlock although everything else did. These medals are not broken as it has worked for others. I did try to email the programmer of it but no response. Am I completely screwed and have to start over again?
I honestly don't want to as the game lags my system to death and shoots the cpu temp to 55 degrees C even with performance turned WAY down
Any thoughts?

A few games resend your medals if you meet the requirements again, play some more, or click on their icons/titles in the achievements screen when they're already unlocked. Unfortunately, most games tend not to resend medals that you have already earned. This may very well be the case for Mega Miner. Sorry.

As a precaution for future games, you can back up your .SOL files every once in a while or before critical events. .SOL files for NG can be located at C:\...[computer user directory]...\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia \Flash Player\#SharedObjects\[RANDOM CAPS]\uploads.ungrounded.net, and they are usually organized according to their portal ID number, located in the url. Just simply copy the file while you're not playing the game, then paste it in a different location where you can find it. That way, if something does screw up in the game or your internet craps out on you, you can restore to an earlier point.

I did email the author a week ago and of course I have no response. Kind of reminds me of Funnaut not fixing the AOR medals that are broke despite several people reviewing it as such. Nothing more frustrating than finishing a game that takes forever to find out that you didn't get everything due to a glitch

I did finally redo the entire game on a school pc since it runs faster without overheating and got the medals. Next time I am staying close to my wireless router and out of the Air Conditioned room.

There's a dozen things that could happen as well.

The most common would be that the connection to the servers got dropped while you play. This just sucks, but it's a fact of internet life unfortunately.

Sometimes the flash doesn't actually send medals properly, and does not resend. These are more serious cases that should be reported to the author via PM. The exact nature of this depends on a case by case basis.
