4.20 / 5.00 15,065 Viewsturned into movies. Are there any games that make you want to become a movie director just so you can make a very story-driven game into a movie? I'd have to go with Heavy Rain, hands down. Sure, there are a lot of ways to go but that won't be a problem.
And of course, Uncharted is my next choice.

Heavy Rain would be awesome as a movie. My main choice would probably be Team Fortress 2 though... Valve have done such an amazing job with the 'Meet the' shorts that a full length film would be incredible.

Uncharted would make an awesome action movie. I hope it goes through and turns out good.
None. It's a fact that video game movies have NEVER WORKED! Whenever they try, it just ruins what made the game so good.
Also, I know they are making a Mass Effect movie. Yeah, do I even NEED to elaborate on why it will suck?

Ha ha... that's a good one. They're not really make one. Right? ... Right?
Oh god dammit!

Really this depends on whether or not the movie would be well done or would just be a mockery of the game.
If it were going to be a good movie, I'd like to see something like Portal(mostly because of the story).
If it were going to be a mockery, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night because I believe lawls would be had.

This is a hypothetical question. Imagine that the move would turn out GREAT!

Oh yea and I thought I would add some time ago they were making the game Asteroids into a movie, I don't know if they are still going to be could you imagine.
Movie Narration:
Dale was just your average astronaut, he was a veteran in among astronauts and was well known for his scientific research in space. Until one faithful day changed it all.
Synopsis(might be the wrong word):
Dale was a veteran astronaut who mostly spent his time in space doing scientific research. Until one day when it was discovered an asteroid belt was heading on a collision course with Earth. It was now up to Dale to man a top secret spacecraft capable of destroying asteroids to save Earth.
Movie Tagline:
One man, One Mission, Three Lives....
Obviously just an interpretation of what it might be.
Misleading title... I was hoping I could post all of the games that I think should be made.
Maybe Red Dead Redemption, but I don't think it could possibly be made into a good movie. If the story wasn't originally made for a movie, the movie will most likely suck. Video Game and book movie adaptions always suck.
Question. Does it have to be live action?

Did you hear about that movie about the guy who was suffering from hallucinations and dementia from eating a bunch of pills? His skin looked bright yellow, the hallways of the asylum he was in were lit dark blue, there was a trail of glowing pills on the floor, and techno music was playing everywhere. He was to insane, that he saw GHOSTS! He ran a lot, but then he'd eat a massive glowing pill, and he'd fucking EAT THE GHOSTS! Scary shit man. Forgot what it was called though...

Under that assumption, ANY video game could be made into a movie, so what's the point of picking one in particular?

... you fucking serious right now?
Dead Rising would be good to see
A movie based on Mother 2
Fallout
Yoshi's island could be a good family feature but it better not be directed by the same people of that Super mario Bros movie
Left 4 Dead. As long as they didn't completely fuck up the costumes and special effects.
I love zombie movies.
Metal Gear Solid. Oh man, that could make a brilliant movie.
Assasin's Creed, it'd be a perfect Dark Knight-esque movie considering they share 1. Laughable characteristic of being "obscure and secretive" 2. People's intelligence skewed downward to their favor and 3. deceptive tactics. Not to mention the Illuminati are in there too, more excitement!

personally i think if done right penumbra could be a good movie. also indigo prophecy, if done many game movies could be good but the directors and producers go to overbourd on the whole situation and they end up fucking up the whole franchise. and yes im a big fan of indie games. so much better than mainstream.
Industrial for everone .

You typed in the wrong url for Super Mario Brothers The Movie.
I suggest you fix it before everyone makes fun of you.
That was a great post. Right Zach?
Why nobody has mentioned a Half Life movie is far beyond me.
I think an ActRaiser movie could be pretty awesome, albeit not that similar to the game.

I think all of the CoD games could be made into good war dramas
I agree with lulzcal, I think Heavy Rain would actually be pretty decent.
