Obviously, but like it's never mentioned, with the release of the 3DS.
Look at the sales figures of the 3DS and it should be pretty damn obvious that not everybody traded up from the original DS models. Not even remotely everybody.
I still play my DSi. I never bought any game other than Scribblenauts but I've enjoyed the hell out of it.
Hell, once in a while, I still play games on the original DS, which I got back in 7th grade.
The reason the 3ds did so poorly at sales is the fact that Nintendo made the 3ds seem like a simple upgrade to the DS like a Dsi.
Tons of people play their DS gamex on their 3ds, while waiting for new 3ds games worth playing to come out.

Are you doing Wi-Fi Pokémon battles?
.
Played it. But it got sat on by one of my friends and the top screen broke off. The lower screen works, but the top one doesn't display anything, because the wire got damaged.
Sad story. I'd still continue playing if I could.

I find that weird, mainly because my DS is almost destroy on of the hinges and it works perfectly fine. I don't play it anymore though.

There's a wire inside the hinges which passes the image to the top screen. It got damaged real bad. I could try replacing it, but I just can't be arsed searching for the right wire
I got my DS on launch, and I've never really liked it. I had half a dozen games for it, all of which were decent, but I can never get into handheld games. I'd rather just play on my PC like a normal person.
I still do. But the only game i play is pokemon.
For the other games i just stop playing.
I still have the first type of DS that came out. the one that doesn't even have an online store

People think the DS is obsolete now.
Well, they might be right.
All I have for handhelds are a DS and a Gameboy Color...

The 3ds is a joke. Its just a gimmicky handheld that will get old really fast and also because there are barely any good games out for it. Actually im suprised that there isnt a Super Mario 3DS or Zelda game. Correct me if im wrong.

I own three currently, the original fat DS, lite and XL. Currently playing the Pokémon games, and the only other games I own for it is Dragon Quest IX, and the two Zelda games. I'm looking to pick up the Castlevania games for it, but they are a little tricky to buy both online and in major videogame retailers.

Super mario 3d land comes out november 13th. Mario kart 7 on december 14th. Luigi's mansion, Kid Icarus, Paper Mario are still coming. There asre some third party titles, but if the third party devs won't stop making ports, the system will never take off.

I loved the Nintendo DS, more than the Sony PSP in my opinion. The only reason why I play the DS, is because of the amazing Pokemon games.. Gamefreak releases. Other than that, I have really have no use for it. I never play any other ds game, other than pokemon.
Gawd. I hate my NG username.
