Might be working at Nickelodeon

7 months until graduation with my BS in media arts & animation.

The Academic Director here has worked in the industry for over 20 years, and just yesterday I was told that she would get me into Nickelodeon/Dreamworks animation studio after graduation. Looks like I'll be heading to Glendale in a few months!

Even if i botch the interview, set the place on fire, and end up getting the boot, it's STILL an awesome honor.

It's such a strange thing... knowing I got a lot of my early experience in animation right here on NG. I think my first submission on the automated portal was 2001.

Looking back, all of my stuff on here was pretty lame... but it was about the community. Artists made other artists better by learning from eachother, reaching a large audience, and taking critiques.

NG was a HUGE part of me finally deciding to go to college for animation.

I gotta give NG and everyone behind it a big THANK YOU!

Tell Nickelodeon that they're terrible for cancelling "Invader Zim" because it was the highest rated show they ever had! Wait a minute, the highest rated show they ever had was "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and they did manage to show that entire series to the end. Well, I guess the two cancel each other out so just tell them they did some good and bad stuff. I think I went to Nickelodeon studios once or twice on vacation.
