To those of you that drink it, how long did it take for you to "acquire the taste"?
It took took me about 1 month of regular drinking to be able to stand it, and another 2 to begin enjoying it. That being said I'm not a connoisseur of beer and have really only had domestic light beers.
The trick is to not drink shitty beer. If you have to acquire a taste for it, it's likely shitty.
I can't stand beer... it just tastes weird to me.
I loved sips of it when I was really young though.
now, the closest thing I like is kombucha (which may or may not eventually ease me into beer)

Good luck with that.
I was 5 when I first started drinking beer and didn't have any issues with it back then. But with hard liquor and especially whiskey, it was a completely different story. It took me a while before my palate developed to the point where I could enjoy most liquor.

Skol is fucking awful. In fact, it's probably the worst tasting thing I've ever drank.

I'm 17, and I still don't like it.

As I said, it's only for me. One of my uncles is in his late 50's, and still hates it.
Most people drink shit like miller light, becuase...they cannot legally drink beer so their choice is limited directly to what is either cheep or readily available to them.
Personally? I tried odouls to start with (my dads choice of non alcoholic beer) Then I tried, dos esquse, and finally tried Stella artoua.
I found that I like a thick, fattening imported beer such as Stella. Everyone will more than likely find a beer they like, if they try different types of beers. They don't all taste like piss water.

From the first party I went to I got the taste for it.
Not sure how long, even now sometimes it strikes me as being gross. But I've learned after enough drinks you start to not care.
I am not a big fan of beer myself I can't enjoy the taste it's to bitter. Takes me ages to drink a pint of it. Cider is much easier to drink so I generally stick to that.
For myself It didn't take me long to like the taste of beer, I usually drink Heineken but ill drink other beers as well.

No, when you're older you will drink beer in some instance. Get over it.
However, my grandma is 68 and has never drank any alcohol I think. She's from a country where drinking is much less than the US, though, but even then most people there drink at some point.
