if u want to make games learn as3.
if ur good at art i suggest frame by frame animation.

use as3 with flashdevelop
for animation(adobe) flash cs5 or lower ,also has a built in ide for as3

Step #2: Make Flash.
Step #3: ?????
Step #4: Profit!

You can solve pretty much any problem you may have with AS3 by consulting the AS3 Language reference.
