This is the official thread for Madness Day 2011 movie discussion and submission! Talk about your works in progress, and when you're done you can post a link in this thread! Also be sure to tag your submission with "madnessday2011" and "madness" so we can find it in future tag searches.
The theme is anything Madness. To be eligible for prize money and an award, you must feature original characters and audio must come from the Audio Portal or be used with permission and credit to the original artist.
Your movie must be submitted on SEPTEMBER 22nd and use the MD2011 loading screen. You can choose between the traditional (frame 1) or one that integrates our latest API to run ads and make money (frame 2).
When you have an outline of your movie, feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll make a custom madness-y tune for you (as long as you don't send it super close to the deadline). Be sure to include a list of events and when they happen so they can be "highlighted" by the music so to speak.
What the hey, I'll do it. Probably end up getting 50 dollars from it. Best of luck to everyone in the contest :D

The prize money is the same as what was announced last year leading up to Madness Day.

FBF. Mainly because it looks better (if done well enough) and is your own work.
I've nearly finished, I just have to add music and the preloader.
I had sex with a pie.

Just one question: How will the winner by decided? By score, or by a group of judges, or both?

Re: The preloader - I've been watching the Art Portal to decide which MD2011 art submission could work best on a loading screen. I think I have one picked out, waiting on the vector art to toss it together.
Great preloader. I've scrapped my previous submission (didn't think it was good enough), but I'm working hard to get my new one finished!
