Hey guys! I just created an LFO controller from scratch... Basically, I had the idea to create an easy to use LFO controller that could have the capability of generating wobbles with built in reverb and echo. However, the device is ONLY an LFO controller! I am not adjusting anything other than the LFO, yet it generates NATURAL reverb and ECHO!
And this is an OPEN SOURCE PROJECT! I am giving you guys the step by step instruction on how to make this yourself!
Step 1: Locate an aquatic bathing facility that contains a shower having a vertical gap of at least 6'4'' from the ground area.
Step 2: Gently place your inner palms around the device used to activate the shower function.
Step 3: Using a slight torque of no more than 10Nm, rotate the device until the shower is activated. *This will most likely require at least 5cm of work*
That's it!
You should start to see a clear liquid drip from the shower head. This will be our MIDI WAVE. Warning: This wave should not be converted, as it may loose its functionality. In order to increase the LFO of this wave, adjust the showers device accordingly. Adjusting the device by more than 2'' will most likely cause an illusionary constant wave to form.
Now, this is where you can get experimental! I discovered that this LFO controller has its own built in wave editing area, where you can actually place natural objects that will act as nodes for increasing the delay, X, Y, and other controls. In order to adjust the wave form, follow these instructions:
Step 1: Locate a series of small, flat materials to act as your nodes.
Step 2: Start by placing one node in the "wave editing area", which stretches from the ground to the source of the wave. *the ground to the shower head*. Depending on where you place it, you can literally create thousands of different combinations and sounds! For example, I placed a plater underneath the wave source, which caused the natural synth to be changed entirely! You could even say the synth sounds like water dripping against a plate! It's very metallic. To morph the synth further, I tilted the plate node by 60 degrees West, which slightly changed the sound of the synth and replicated it back to its original form! It was incredible... the wave landed on the plate, slide off, and landed on the ground below!
I am discovering new techniques, as you should as well... but basically, I think we can all bring this together into a full blown OPEN SOURCE SYNTHESIZER! I have only discovered the LFO controller... now we need the AMP, the MODULATION, the OSCILLATION... oh man so many possibilities!
So go out to your bathroom Newgrounds... go find an aquatic producing facility and help create this synthesizer! iM SO EXCITED!!!
This is what I have so far... I have developed this system further by doubling it, creating a 2OSX system. So we have LFO, Oscillation, and slight reverb and echo effects.

Shower head = white noise source
Water valves = volume, also controls how room interacts with source
Walls and shower head distance = comb filter
It's a subtractive synth. If you added a hydrophone and a speaker you could add further filtering and the ability to add feedback to your combfilter!

Hmm, no WONDER I always hear these people telling me they get wet through this kind of music. This... THIS IS BRILLIANT!
Also, if I decided to make music through that, i'd be too frightened to chafe my balls.

Both Autechre and Amon Tobin would be proud. Now that's what I call creative.

This might just be the most important discovery in audio history.

ALRIGHT, so I'm developing VST support for this synthesizer! I even figured out how to add a new layer of sound to be played at the same time! I found two more devices in the same room that can create similar LFO modulations, however they are at a much smaller level with an easier to use graphical interface!
Basically, all you need to do is turn the LFO knobs seen in the picture by small amounts. They also have wet and dry mixes you can experiment with!

You spend too much time in the shower then.
I spend a maximum of 1 day on each song.

I heard there's a nice LFO controller somewhere in the kitchen too. Not sure if this rumor is true or not.

I put a lot of emotions and mumbo jumbo in each song I make, so it takes me a bit longer. Plus, I have to admit, I masturbate in the shower so im going to be in there longer.

I've seen you post this before, FatKid. Bathroomstep, right? I actually had my plans to try this but don't have anything to properly record my shower.
