You might have seen them. For those who have not...

Where they stole fucking Santa from Coke.

Where they stole the Coke drinking
Polarbears from Coke.

Yes, I am mad. This sort of "I don't give a damn if we copy them and people know it" attitude is very abrasive to me. What will they rip off next?

I find that rather amusing, to be honest.

No one owns Santa, no one owns Polar bears.

Case closed.

Don't drink soda!

I know your BBQ Chicken might need a bit more then water to go down, but soda is terrible for you.

Try iced tea or apple juice.

Coke is well known for it's Santa and Polar Bear gigs. Who hear hasn't seen a short video of them, or a picture of a rosy cheeked Santa with a Coke in his hand? The point is, Pepsi is pissing on those memories by stealing these things and making them their own.

I don't think that their intention was to "piss on those memories", it is just an advertising where they want to make their product look better in a funny way. I believe that you take the case too serious.

The one with Santa was actually a good commercial if you ask me. Who cares if they openly bash Coke? People bash their competitors all the time and nobody cares. Santa just wants to have a little fuuuuuuun.

I saw those commercials too, I thought it was kind of lame that made fun of Coca-Cola's commercials. Pepsi should really stop being jealous and being such a show off, you know?

There's no such thing as a "Jew Media", bro.

It's just a religion, not a big news corporation.

Pepsi tastes better than coke I find. Coke has WAY too much sugar in their drinks.

So how does "discreetly" stepping on another company directly affect the sale of both products?

Apparently Apple has a larger net value than Microsoft. Could this possibly have been directly affected by their plethora of advertisements sprouted from the "Mac vs. PC" marketing campaign to the general public? Or is it just because they have a pretty solid market concerning iPods, and that most of their technology is no doubt overpriced?

I don't want to spark another Mac vs. PC vs. Other operating systems no one uses discussion, but my main point here is that, while these adverts no doubt suck due to their overall lack of creativity and humor, I don't really see them conquering their corporate giant of a rival, the Coca-Cola Co.

Yeah, I like the commercials. I think it's hilarious to use the mascots associated with Coke and use them against Coke.

Pepsi is awesome, BTW.

I was just talking about those commercials today. I thought they were funny, but they made me want a coke more than a pepsi. Seeing winter imagery juxtaposed with summer imagery on a hot day just makes me pine for a coke and an armchair next to a fireplace in a snow covered cabin

It's all in good fun. You might hate it, but I never laughed so hard at a commercial in awhile.

So what? I'm a long time coke drinker as well so one day when I went to the gas station, I decided to buy a bottle of Pepsi instead.

The guy then asked me, "Pepsi? I thought you...I mean you're a long time coke user...what the..."

Then I said, "Hey, it's no big deal, it's summer and I'm here to have a good time!"

"Okay then, have a good day" he said and gave me a thumbs up.

They didn't copy them and they didn't rip them off.

They took two symbols of coke, made them start drinking Pepsi instead and threw in a joke. Its a pretty good advertisement. I like them. I mean if Santa isn't even drinking coke anymore then why am I?

Besides, I haven't seen a Polar Bear or Santa Coke commercial in years, anyway.
