Since opinions are by definition not proven, and since it is valid to have opinions, then you cannot dispute an opinion. Simply, an opinion isn't a fact, so you can't hold facts against it.

Disputes are based upon one side's incorrectness (determined by another human being, therefore making the whole issue pretty much subjective) vs another's. Anything can be disputed and won, but few disputes and how they are won can be justified.

Facts aren't proven true. Facts are things that can be proven either true or false. Technically, if I said this post is 2 letters long, that's a fact, because it can be proven wrong.
