Not sure how to go about this...
I went to start uploading some of my music onto Newgrounds only to find someone already posted it under a variation of my username. (search for the artist mattcalpo)
I've uploaded hundreds of loops on Flashkit and this guy must have grabbed them from there....though I'm not sure why he is posing as me and even responding back to comments.....weird.
How do I get the music removed from "mattcalpo's" account so I can post it myself.
Thanks in advance

Oh wow some of that stuff is really ancient, I remember you from when I used to make flash animations in like 2001/2002
You'll probably need to pm tom or wade about it, they're pretty good about this sort of thing!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll give them a try. (I assume you are talking about TomFulp or WadeFulp - if not, please let me know)

Yes, those are the ones he was talking about,
Btw, it seems that mattcalpo doesn't have any audio submitted. Am I looking at the wrong user or did he just delete everything?

Well if the OP isn't lying about the stolen music then mattcalpo probably deleted all is audio and his website where the audio could be found to to hide his tracks in case any legal action was taken perhaps.

this thread disturbs me a little - I mean sure this guy claims it was his music - but his account is from this year and he could very well have lied and thus gotten all this guys music removed.. if the admins were that swift it makes you wonder how easy it would be for someone to destroy an entire user's account by claiming to be the original author of the works..
just food for thought - no accusations being made here.

No proof = No action.
I could call every single user on NG a thief, but unless I could prove it I couldn't get anyone banned.
However, if a mistake were to occur it could very easily be reversed with no effect to download counts, score or reviews AFAIK.

When a post like this appear, if NG officials don't take action, people complain "Boo-ho, no action? why so slow?".
However, if NG officials take action, then people still complain "Boo-ho, why action? why so fast?".
Come on guys!

The admins didn't do anything most likely. The user probably just deleted all of the submissions in fear he might get charged with something *although that is very rare, and usually you are simply banned*
Anyway, nothing to freak out over.

no its actually impossible to delete some of your submissions if they have over 3000 views or have been used in a flash - the site will no longer let you.
and yeah I forgot they can completely restore everything that's deleted.

All is well now. Thanks for the quick response!
If there's any question, I can provide the FL Studio source files to the Mods...but I am definitely me :)
You can see my music on my website: www.artofsound.us (or www.calpomatt.com) - screenshot of my music program attached.
Thanks again for the quick action mods!
