I find it odd that older males enjoy the joy My little ponie since it is aimed for more strictly to younger feminine demographic but The plots written for the show are good I admit though I find the Darker themes of the 80s original to be more acceptable with it's traditional animation

What did other people think of the first episode of the second season? I think its pretty similar to the pilot of the first season, which isnt really surprising.
I think it will be epic again once the 2nd season psuedo-pilot is over and it goes back to doing it like it how it did after the original pilot was over.

Honestly, i think its just gunna keep getting better and better this season. They know what the masses like and they know how to exploit it. And besides... The pilot of the 2nd season is hella cool! I love seeing the bitchy fluttershy! It just cracks me up! XD

Thank you Ryan for the AWESOME sig!

imho I don't think season 2's pilot is similar to last season's at all. I mean sure, there's the whole ancient evil prophecy mumbo jumbo constituting the premise of the plot. This time, the villain is more present and definitely more cunning than Nightmare Moon - yet still maintains some mystery as to what he's going to do next; simply a better antagonist in every way. This time around the episode also does away with a lot of the cheesy fairytale kind of feel that permeated last season's pilots. I think people would receive 2nd season's first episodes a lot better because it stays truer to the style and presentation of the rest of season 1. I know I did.

Well, it's pretty easy to draw comparisons since this is the only other time a main villain has been introduced to the series.

I think it will be epic again once the 2nd season psuedo-pilot is over and it goes back to doing it like it how it did after the original pilot was over.

I liked the pilot and this episode, you make me frown.

I think the 2nd season is off to a great start. I'm anxious to see how Discord is defeated. Hopefully it won't be like with NMM. Maybe Discord won't be completely defeated and will reappear at some point.

And now you can make your own Discord dance video.

Oh and since it is International talk like a pirate day...

That's right I like guns and ponies. Problem cocksuckers?

Oh so interesting that is. Wonder how they will resolve the problem this week and what will become of Discord afterward. Would be kind of pointless to turn him back into a statue if all it takes to free him is some ponies arguing near his statue.

What if in the second half, Discord sings his own version of the My Little Pony theme song, changed to match the mane six's new personalities?

That'd be kinda cool, but unlikely. It would explain why they didn't use the new theme the composer mentioned would be on episode 3 onwards. They'd have used the old theme, then Discord's corrupted theme, and the new one from then on.

I didn't really like Princess Celestia's dialogue though. I cared only a bit more for it than I did for the narrarative in the intro to the first season's pilot. Not that big of a deal though.

Really? I thought Celestia's dialogue was great. Her voice had a serious tone that shes never taken before, making Discord seem like a real threat. It sounded like something you'd hear in a fantasy RPG, which I think fits the adventure theme Faust wanted to go with.

Ugh, I can't go that much longer without more Discord. I waited too long for this new episode to air as it is. This right here is the reason why I hate two-parters.

So I saw the season premiere two days ago but I've been a bit too busy to post. Suffice to say, I loved the new episode. I thought that it might not be too good because it's too story-driven like the first two episodes of season 1 were, but I was proven wrong. This new episode really is amazing. Although I do prefer the usual episodes, I'm still pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this new episode.

And although I've never seen Star Trek before, I absolutely love Discord's voice.

Also, I feel like that statue of the three horses that represent friendship will be important next episode.

Bridal Gossip and Dragonshy are good starting points anyways. Call of the Cutie is also a good starting point if you care more about the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Which reminds me, Cutie Mark Crusaders awoke Discord, nice job dictionary and chicken and Apple Bloom...

Well, actually, I can vaguely remember watching the first episode in like May or something. I just thought it was a stupid fad then with funny reaction faces, and I just sort of shrugged it off, never really though it would catch on.

Look at me now.

Chocolate Rain.

The instance My Little Pony became acutely aware of it's internet demographic.

It makes sense to her character, don't you agree?

Bitch is crazy...she'll eat hot sauce cupcakes, she'll chow down on some chocolate rain.

Which btw, the show makes me curious as to how cotton candy and chocolate milk go together. LIKE A GIVE A FUCK, DIABETES.

Haven't you noticed she's always the character "breaking the 4th wall" in the show? Also, in Equestria Girls, she's the singer and she's the one that mentions bronies.

Pinkie Pie is basically like the creator's subtle winks to the audience.
