His knowledge of Fan-fiction isn't absolute, but it's really fucking impressive for a program.

I know right? For an example, my dad wanted to try a character from and anime called Read Or Die tv. Or RODTV for short. And he got that right as well! Damn he is good.

It truly is amazing to see how this show has swarmed the Internet. The question is though is that a good thing or a bad thing. Personally I do like the show for what it is and that it actually puts effort into it and doesn't talk down to its audience.

However the Internet turned it into a meme, there is no doubting this whatsoever, but there are still fans of the show who truly do appreciate the show for what its worth. It's starting to create more than what it is and that's where I believe things start getting awkward.

The reason being is there has been an influx of fan fiction and fan art. Now I have nothing against fan art, hell some of the most creative pieces of work can come from fan art and at times they can turn out really cool. However fan fiction takes a different route in my personal opinion, but if people like it then that's okay by me.

What I find strange though is that the show itself is harmless, but this Internet fanbase is creating a life of its own and that seems to be to be a bit creepy. I might be over exaggerating though, but when I see and hear people talk about buying the dolls and things to put on their desks and collecting them that's when I gotta ask where this Internet fanbase stands at the moment.

If this show dies down and the fad appeal wears off, who will forget about it and move on to the next fad and who will stay and still be a fan of the show?

I can attest to this. By and large I utterly despise fan-fiction. I find them a blight upon modern literature, boring, underdeveloped, and characters largely lacking personality. However, the MLP: FiM fan-fiction base from what I see is quite good, not material worthy for a book mind you, but certainly they have writers that are talented enough to write short stories for an anthology.

Yeah, some fans are very....Obsessive in an unhealthy fashion to say the least.

Creepy. Merchandise is always a pleasant memento to inspire nostalgia, but quite frankly, I find it a waste of money, and it makes the fans seem even more compulsive.

One of those few shows that leaves the age game out of it and allows the entire family to just be able to sit back and enjoy a show like this. As for fans and non-fans, as long as the fans aren't forcing it down others throats I see no reason for those to be bothered. The ones that actually do try to cram it down everyone else's throats probably need to back off a bit and let the person decide themself if they wish to watch it or not. Kind of like letting the person themself decide if they wished to be called a brony or not.

However the Internet turned it into a meme, there is no doubting this whatsoever, but there are still fans of the show who truly do appreciate the show for what its worth. It's starting to create more than what it is and that's where I believe things start getting awkward.

I enjoy the show for the art and what it is anyways. As for memes spawned or put into it I do not care as much, although I did find this to be kind of funny.

Almost every show has fan art and fan fiction. Do have to say though, some of the fan fiction for the show is weird.

Harmless yes, but I find it funny and stupid others will flame it for no real reason other than someone having it in their sig or referring to it. Nothing wrong with buying merchandise for a show really.

If this show dies down and the fad appeal wears off, who will forget about it and move on to the next fad and who will stay and still be a fan of the show?

People will likely still watch it at least until something more interesting comes along although they may go back and watch it from time to time to reflect on the good times they had watching it.

Tirek was the original badass satan pony. Mostly because he was a centaur and flew on a chariot of retro looking versions of Nightmare Moon.
