By that I mean would The Behemoth be able to develop a Castle Crashers game without using Flash without compromising anything that caused us to love the game to bits in the first place? So far all I've been told it would be impossible because Flash is "unique" and that no other dev tool would be able to render graphics seen in Flash products.

only the art is draw as flash but the game is made in c++
since ds game are made with c++ is could be posible but
it would take a LOT of recoding

Castle Crashers isn't a Flash game.
It would be possible to port Castle Crashers to the 3DS. Would it be easy? Probably not.
