It's good that people don't do your and you're correctly. Since it is one of the easier things to get right.
As long as people are getting that wrong, people will obsess over that rather than over things like using colons and semi colons correctly, so in the end it lets most of do a little bit correct then be mostly lazy and not be the subject of criticism.

I don't mind homophone misuse since not everyone has a memory for spelling. What I don't understand is how someone can pass through a decade of schooling without having even a basic understanding of how to use a comma or, worse yet, a period. It doesn't anger me or upset me; actually, it just confuses me.
What a topic. There's just so much to discuss that hasn't already been discussed.
It is the internet and for some reason people spell badly on it. It doesn't really affect me and if I can sort of understand what the OP is trying to tell us then I am okay with it even if they use bad grammar
