Ok, my mother is a psychic, my father is a logical man.

My dad says that the voices i have been hearing below me are sound refraction.
My mother says that i am hearing spirits talking.

I saw a residual energy of a woman who died from cancer when i was 4, her name was Joan (I told my mother about it). After i had predicted a car accident that actually happened the mechanic told my mother that his mother called Joan had died there.
I am seeing random flashed of light called "Orbs" that look similar to camera flashes, there is no other way that the flashes could have appeared from a household object as there weren't any present at the time. ("Orbs" are manifestations of spirits in light form according to my mother)

My mother says that i am going to be a "Medium"

My head is filled with billions and billions of fuck right now... anyone care to lend a hand?
My family has had a shit tonne of weird stuff happen to them that involves the paranormal...

It's all in your mindset, I see flashes of light or colors sometimes and 100% believe it's from my eyes or brain, not spirits. I'm not superstitious or religious at all, so yea.

I haven't been there to actually experience what happened so I can properly explain why what you experienced isn't supernatural, so I can only urge you as strongly as I can to take these words to heart.

Please, for the love of Christ, Vishnu, Allah, Darwin, Tom Fulp, or whatever it is you believe in don't make the world a more pathetic and backwards place by becoming a medium. So you predicted a car crash? How many times a day do you feel like something bad was going to happen and nothing did? Don't focus on the one time you were right. It means nothing.

And if you insist on saying you have powers than take the $1 Million Paranormal Challenge and be humbled when you fail.

I never had that feeling and nothing happened... it also happened when i was 4, i barely understood what cars were.

Obviously I can't look at every reading she's ever done then look what actually happened and explain to you why it was something you wouldn't need to be psychic to predict. I've done a fair amount of research on this and a psychic reading only has the value a person believes it does. Generally even if you give someone a very specific reading they'll do what they can to facilitate it actually "coming true" and they're alter the reading in their mind to fit what actually happened.

These are psychological responses to getting a psychic reading that have been studied.

I'm just saying if you really think you have these powers then put them up to actual scrutiny. Hell, allowing yourself to be studied would greatly increase our knowledge of how the human mind works. Imagine mapping the brain of an actual psychic! It would be breakthrough.

Just bear in mind that not one person who has ever tried to prove their psychic powers has successfully been able to replicate their claims under scientific scrutiny.

I don't want to be involved in this, it makes me feel like an abnormal freak of nature, i would much prefer that i wasn't involved in this bullshit in the first place, besides... Being humans, the first thing we would do is try to weaponise it, which would be bad...

I do bear this in mind... but the paranormalists counter for this is that it doesn't/can't happen in scientific conditions... its not like you can drag a ghost from its graveyard and say "TALK TO US SO WE CAN STUDY YOU" D:

When I was 1, I lived in Africa with my parents and my bro.

My dad was a priest, for a very long time, and from what I heard, he saw these things all the time. And he did believe they we're spirits, but those were the least of his discoveries. Talking animals, witch and voodoo priests, paranormal activity, questionable town fires, missing villagers, yeah... I'm lucky I still walk this earth. I'm sure you have it better than him.

You claim to be 16, not 4. Grow up and learn to deal with your problems like everyone else. I've had dreams of my life, woke up thinking "well that's not happening, so and so doesn't even exist" and of course it would end up happening and so and so would exist later on. But it's odd, at my earliest memories I recalled things further on and around middle school it began meeting a point where said events would actually happen.

So to say, it's like I could tell my older age when I was younger and my teenage years when I was a teenager. If I could recall all my life through my dreams that would pretty much be saying I won't live past 30. People are fucking weird, eh?

I don't understand why more people don't do this. Just go and call James Randi and if you are able to show off a real example of the supernatural, then he will give you a million dollars. Even if he doesn't, he will be able to figure out whatever's going on with you and hopefully a way to cure it as he would know. That's what so awesome about supernatural problems, in a purely realistic sense, you win either way!

I was going to say there was something psychologically wrong with you, since I'm a firm believer of science and logic. I do, however, think it's important to keep an open mind: just because something cannot be explained/pvoven by the scientific means we have presently, it does not mean that "it" doesn't exist.

If it's legit, then who cares if it's not "normal" or proven- you don't need any scientific proof to reassure you something you can tell with your own senses that it is true.

This is a tricky one my friend but at the same time allows you a title of being special.

That's exactly why it shouldn't be taken seriously. I can claim that I have special powers too, anybody can make that claim, and anybody can also turn around and claim that they can't demonstrate those powers when asked for proof. It's nothing more than a cop-out.

The power of suggestion is incredibly strong, and the definition of "right versus wrong" incredibly lenient. Let's say that I wake up tomorrow and I get a "bad feeling." Maybe that day there'll be a road accident on my way to work. Clearly the result of a psychic reading! But maybe nothing happens. Obviously this is because I didn't "really" feel anything, I just thought I did at the time. Or maybe I got to a medium and they tell me that they see "bad news" in the future. If anything from losing my job to dropping a jar of pickles happens in the next few days, I will immediately blame the prediction by the medium.

I think modern scientific conditions are more than adequate to test for this sort of thing.

Don't get me wrong, I do try to keep an open mind, but if something like psychic ability did exist I believe there would be a solid scientific explanation, which could be verified through scientific process. It wouldn't just be some inexplicable phenomenon.

Yeah, I get what you're saying and I partly agree... But I don't think that we are as scientifically developed as we think. I mean who knows whether we're close to reaching our full potential or are just getting started- you know?

Lucky for you, I guess. I don't know how I could help you in this situation. I suppose the best thing to do would be to call an experienced medium and speak to them about what you have been experiencing. You should find out if they experienced anything like you.

I think the hardest thing to deal with would be seeing spirits around you. It would probably be terrifying, at least to me. Just keeping your sanity after seeing enough spirits is probably challenging enough. Again, I think the best move would be to consult a real medium and get some advice from them.
