Hosting a collab w/ Flash 8

Got a question for you fine folks,
If I were hosting a collab, would using flash 8 be sufficient? Say most other people were working with CS3 or higher, could they still send me their files so that I could work on them as well?
I know it works vice-versa but I'm not sure about this

yeah, thatd be my preference too. Unfortunately I can't afford another copy of flash at the moment :P And Id prefer not to steal it. Can CS4 not save files that are compatible with flash 8 then?

There are two problems you may face:
1. Someone uses a newer version: youll need to have one-three dedicated friend/member/etc. With the other versions (cs3/4/and even 5 would be nice) who could convert it to 8
2. Someone uses a feature available only on newer versions: You could organize the collab but have someone else with cs5/4 compile it, in that case, youd need someone also really dedicated and willing to spend some time putting everything together, this is a lot harder than youd think and only gets harder when dealing with bigger collabs, you could let whoever did this submit it as a reward for spending more time than ordinary members

Id also like to remind you that you need a BA (average of your three highest scoring submissions) of 3.50 or higher or permission from a mod from the collab forum to start a collab in the ng bbs collab forum

Or you can just call it "The Flash 8 Collab" and only people with Flash 8 can join.

I can make a cool looking play button for the collab. I use flash 8

easy, make a frame per frame epic battle where everyone in the collar directs a scene and two artists work on the same scene !
